The Culture Factory group was born of the frustration and anger at the lack of facilities for the young people of Newbridge and it was quickly agreed that that something must be done to tackle the chronic shortage of services. We aim to provide a suitable space that will promote the creative collaboration between artists & young people, many of who, are excluded from what is traditionally regarded as the ‘arts sector’.

This space will be open to all young persons regardless of race, religion, sex etc. Ideally, it will be situated in the Oscar Cinema. This old building is up for sale, although other buildings may also fit the bill.

In this building we will provide facilities for: Live music, rehearsals, recording studio,
dance, film making, playing pool, artistic teaching zones, cafe, and meetings.

    • Culture Factory: Town Life Photography Competition Results

      It's with great pleasure that we can finally announce the results of Culture Factory's ‘Town Life’ photography competition sponsored by Fujifilm and Strands Hair Salon. The competition saw a group budding young photographers recieve a tutorial from a proffesional photographer before going to snap the town as they viewed it.

      The result was decided by a panel of judges and the winner of a digital SLR camera in first place was Niamh Mahon and runners up were Sophia Ellis & Kim Monoghan.

      We would like to thank all the young photographers who took part, Fujifilm and Strands Hair Salon and Michael Donnelly for his time and effort.

    • Culture Factory 'Town Life Photography Competition 2010'

      We are delighted to announce the inaugural Culture Factory presents 'Town Life Photography Competition' 2010, sponsored by Fujifilm and Strands Unisex Hair Salon. The competition will see around 20 young people between the ages of 13 and 16 take part. The competition which takes place on May 8th will see budding young photographers receive a tutorial from a professional photographer before going off snap happy to photograph the town as they see it.

      The winners will be decided by a panel of judges with 1st prize being a camera worth a whopping €400. The photos from the competition are to be displayed at an exhibition later on this year with dates to be confirmed. Keep in touch for all details of this and other Culture Factory news and activity.

    • The Dream, Keep Returning Art Exhibition - Liffey Studio (April 16-21)

      Hiya folks

      Just a heads up that local artist Brian Hannigan is having a painting exhibition entitled 'The Dream, Keep Returning' in The Liffey Studio, April 16th - 21st. This follows on from his extremely successful exhibition in the same venue last year. The official opening party is on Friday April 16th at 7pm, music and some refreshments will be available.

Recorded over 60 different acts Certificate and Diploma qualifications in Studio and in Live recording . Oh and the best bit we are not expensive we are the cheapest recording studio in Ireland.
