CROSS SQUARE HOTEL invites South Armagh to 'Get in the Pink' for Breast Cancer Awareness week Friday 24th October 2008.

The Cross Square Hotel, Crossmaglen is getting ready to hold a Fun filled PINK Day to raise funds for Cancer Research NI.

The Management and Staff of the Cross Square Hotel will be supporting the Charity's new ' its a girl thing' campaign which aims to galvanise the support of women across the region to help beat breast cancer- a disease that will affect one in nine women in NI at some stage of their lives.

Coffee Morning
The Pink Celebrations starts off with a coffee morning starting at 10am and running until late afternoon. people are invited to have a cup of tea or coffee and one of our pink sugary delights in support of the overall fun raising event while availing of the opportunity to get 'Glammed up' and 'Get in the PINK' in conjunction with Secret Essence Beauty Centre and Slieve Gullion Springs Day Spa Mullaghbawn. Proprietor and Makeup specialist Lynda Strain, is on hand to give advice about makeup techniques and professionally apply a new range of makeup exclusive to Slieve Gullion Springs day Spa, so why not set aside Friday 24th Oct for a day of pampering all in aid of Cancer research NI

'Candles of Hope'
The Get in the Pink event culminates in the evening around a 'Candles of Hope' event which will take place at 7 o clock pm directly out side the hotel. The candle of Hope event allows individuals to remember someone touched by cancer, in remembrance of a deceased love one, or in hope of someone currently going through treatment or in celebration of a individual who has won the battle with cancer.
In the weeks leading up to the event people who wish to nominate a name can do so in the Cross Square Hotel Crossmaglen, Each name is nominated by one pound one Euro fifty and will be transferred on to a waxed candle bag in which a nightlight candle is placed and lit at the edge of darkness. The illuminated sight of hundreds of names arranged in the word HOPE is both poignant and breathtaking and not to be missed!

Pink Party
The nights celebrations doesn't end there, its back into the hotel for our PINK Party! music by DJ Marbello. Make sure to don your PINK attire to be included into a draw for best dressed Pink lady or our Dapper 'Mr Pink'! Special Pink Cocktails with proceeds going to cancer research NI for sale on the night
