CHARITY POLL INFORMATION...
Dumfries and Galloway Canine Rescue Centre: The purpose of the charity is to rescue, care for, and rehome stray, maltreated, and unwanted dogs. This is a local charity which was set up by local people and needs our support to continue doing the brilliant work it does.
The Afghan Schools Trust is a small, locally run charity dedicated to improving the lives and opportunities of children in Afghanistan.
They fund and support community initiatives, particularly in areas outside the reach of government or NGO assistance.
So far they have provided complete funding for five secular schools educating over 700 girls and boys in Nuristan, northeast Afghanistan.
They also fund teacher training courses for the local men and women who run and staff the schools. http://www.afghanschools.org/history...
SKIP Glasgow is a charity run by student volunteers from the
University of Glasgow who work with children at two orphanages in
Lilongwe, Malawi. Through simple health and educational interventions
they aim to improve the standard of living for children and help
children to reach their full potential in life. For more information
go to www.skipkids.org.uk/projects/skip-gl...
Capability Scotland - Capability Scotland works with children and young people with additional support needs and adults and older people with physical and/or learning disabilities or mental health issues. As well as working with the individuals, Capability Scotland also provides support and help for families and carers. On top of the various services they provide for those with disabilities, the organisation also campaigns regularly in order to ensure that disabled people achieve the same human and civil rights as the rest of society.
The National Autistic Society (NAS) is a charity for people who have autistic spectrum disorders like for example; Autism and Asperger' Syndrome. The aim of the NAS is to provide people who have autistic spectrum disorders and their families with help, support and services that they can access, trust and rely upon and which can make a positive difference to their lives.

Hey! I'm fine thank you, just stressing out at the impending deadlines!!! It's that time of year again
!
but I didn't realise that 'It's A Knockout' would be doubling as a garden party, that's a good idea. I don't especially want to get wet and gungey!!!!! As for volunteers, you may have to count me out, I don't finish uni stuff till 28th May so I'll be looking for a day off I think
Thanks for letting me know, shame about the dance
How are you getting on?
xxxxxxx
Hi,
, and makes me feel really old thinking about how long ago that is now ....!
Are there any plans for a party or dance at the end of May/start of June to celebrate the end of semester?
And are there any plans for a Garden Party this year, or is the 'its a knockout' taking it's place? The one back in 2007 was so much fun
xxxxxxxxx
Find Taking the Nith at Facebook by copying and pasting the link below

Or alternatively typing it in in the Facebook search engine...
There'll be a comedy night at the Tam O'Shanter on the 21st Feb (this Saturday). Some tickets available from CUCSA.
Thanks for sending the right link for the graduation survey. I know CUCSA isn't involved directly, but a couple of people in it are, right? Anyway, I have now sent my survey answers to the address provided.
Thanks again for your help!
What I actually came to say - If you go onto my page you can find the Faritrade link under Groups....
My legs ache from energetic ceilidh dancing....... Fun night though!

*notices banana skin*

Ceilidh was brilliant
Yaaaay! I danced so much! Had a fabulous time. And it's fabulous that we raised some money for our charity too.
xxxx
hey; I can't remember who from CUCSA is involved in the graduation committee, but I just tried to return the survey that was sent out on webmail, but the email address is wrong. Who should I send it to?
Thanks-
Marie
Can some one please take a video of the events on Sunday or please take lots of photos, cause I really want to see the event - it sounds like it will be an amazing event.
Hi guys,
