    • birdcage downstairs in cellar fundraiser for AIDSWest

      We hope you get to come to the BirdCage on Friday night November 28th (Downstairs in the Cellar)
      We are doing the official Fundraiser night for AIDSwEST.
      More important than ever this year as the Government has cut AIDSWest funding for next year so they are going to find it difficult to fund their free condom programme and their safer sex Information Campaigns but Friday can make a difference as money from the Door Receipts will be going to AIDSwest and if you want you can also buy a red ribbon on the night again the money goes to AIDSWest.
      We are also doing a Red Ribbon cocktail(Cosmo's) on the night and a red Ribbon shot (Red Mickey Finns) all money raised from these again goes to AIDSWest!!!
      we also have a superb Drag show lined up being performed by 3 of Galway's best Drag ACTS Elsie Coxes (The reigning Rose of Pride) Audrey and Twirley Chasis (Former Alternative Miss Ireland)
      and we have DJ Betty.
      Please spread the word as I said its an important night for the Charity and indeed Galway' and the West of Ireland's Gay Community where all monies raised get invested back into the Community for the benefit of the entire Community.
      In addition its only €5 in till 11.30 and we open at 10.30.

      Galway Pride 2008 is almost upon us we at Club Babylon would like to wish all the gang at Bród Ireland West (Galway Pride) the very best of Luck.
      We Know Galway Pride is run as a not for profit orgaisation and any money raised is invested back into the LGBT Community.
      With That In Mind Clb Babylon will not be operating over the course of Galway Pride but will instead be supporting the Pride Club Nights In the Junction Nite Club, The Cellar and the Black Box and ask everyone else to do the same.
      This is the one time all year when serious money can be raised for good caues like AIDSWEST, THE Galway Gay Helpline, The Galway LGBT youth Group 'Shout' as well as putting Money aside for a much Need Gay Resource Centre in Galway.
      So go on show your Pride and support Bród Ireland West.

      Galway's premier gay club is closing its doors for a bit in order to do some structural works and some cosmetic surgery....well we all need a little botox to keep fab!!

      But fear not, we will be back open shortly with a nicer, fresher venue and the very best of top notch entertainment.

      Hey, the Galway University Musical Society would like to invite you to come to se our show DISCO INFERNO! This years’ show is set in London’s disco scene in the 70s. It’s about a young man who sells his soul to the devil for his wish of fortune and fame... he soon learns that he should be more careful of what he wishes for. It includes some of our favourite 70s tunes like, Celebration, If you leave me now, Crocodile Rock, Hot Stuff, Boogie Nights, Blame It on the Boogie, Play That Funky Music White Boy and many more! Like other years, this years show promises to be a great night out! The show will be running from the 10-14th of February in the Black Box Theatre, Galway… shows start at 8 o’ clock sharp. Tickets are available from the Soc’s Box in NUIG or from the Town Hall Theatre. So come on; dust down those platforms, catch some of that Saturday night fever and burn baby burn, in DISCO INFERNO!!
