Over billions more, it was rounded like ball Upon this mass of construction, We would work, walk, run and fall in such a time Out of the slick ooze came a single cell our first ancestor Don’t go anywhere now the story is not done Here comes the fun The cell must have split and gained a partner, To evolve it's kind, with opposite gender, And so it did, that we are told. A mate arose to preserve the fold. So now the theory has been set in motion, This brings forth more of its silly notion Billions more did come, Billions more did go, Now watch this fable grow and grow Of all the myth's man does make Surely this one takes the cake Over time our bods took shape Apparently our early form looked like an Ape It was time and natural selection Wherein we found our own election In the trees we made our habitat Swinging limb to limb, we'd never get fat Time and change did come around Lo and behold, we came to the ground From the trees we did swing Becoming more learned of higher renown From earlier years Of dragging our arses along the ground Now we even eat better, those bananas Began to fester Today our frame there is no trace, Of our ancestors first face Old Uncle Cell was simple and small; We his posterity for anything shall fall They dig they go eat and go think In all hope they will find the missing link.
