	Jesus Emmanuel Martinez Bio
	Jesus E. Martinez was born April 19, 1980. In a city called Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic. He was brought to U. S. A. By the Shriners Hospital for cripple kids in Springfield mass. His mother Miriam Martinez came a month later with visa. His father Jesus Suero came in a boat that he used to work on. Jesus was born without his left hand and without both legs. Shriner’s hospital gave him the chance to be a normal kid by making him 2 prosthetic legs. They wanted to make him a left arm but Jesus said no because he was already use to not having one. He grew up in Manhattan, NY. Jesus started writing short stories at the age of 12. He always dreamed of making his stories into books and then made into movies. At the age of 13 moved to Lawrence Massachusetts. Where he graduated from junior high at the age of 15, He went to Greater Lawrence Vocational Technical High school. Where he studied Industrial Electronics, at the age of 17 he wrote his first poem. Writing poetry is his way of getting his feelings out. By the age of 19, he started dreaming of publishing a poetry book. In 1999 he graduated from Greater Lawrence Vocational Technical High School. He got his Electronic certificate and his high school diploma. He put his first poem in a poetry web site and from there on started getting letters from that web site and he was named poet of the year in 2001 by another poetry site. At the end of 2001 Jesus decided to move back to New York City to try to publish his first poetry book. Then moved to Philadelphia but didn’t work out and moved back to New York City. In 2007 he moved to Raleigh, NC. And up to this date he still lives in Raleigh. He is still fighting to make his dreams come to life.
