| Life is a Bittersweet Game By Austin E. Bugler I woke up in a sweat, convinced that you were there, that it wasn't a dream, and that the heavens had played fair. So I ran to your room, and pulled the quilt from the bed, then I anxiously checked the pillow, for signs that it held your head. I checked the bathroom door, hoping to find it locked, wishing that you would start screaming, about how I never knocked, but the door the just flew open, and slammed against the wall, sending an echo bouncing out, the noise of all my hope dispersing down the hall. Then the next thing I felt, a slight moisture on my cheek, my hands began to shake, and my legs now going weak. How could you be gone? just blink out like a light.. How could anything ever touch you? when you put up such a fight. Its not fine.. and will never be okay, I would have gave all my blood, to fight what took you away, but the enemy was invisible, its so confinient that way? but its worth all this pain, to have known you for even just a day. So I can thank lady luck whilst wishing her harm, for dealing me all the helping hands I got... even the ones not attached to an arm. At least I got a seat, to the most exclusive game on earth. The chance to take part in life finish line my death and the gun my birth. Life is a bittersweet game... so don't try too hard to work out what it all means, just play what you got because you never know when you will be just a character In a loved ones dreams.
