Crazy Nightmare

" So... basically she has had no happiness since shadaria?" Quinten said questionaly.

Kale nodded. I bet as much as he didn't want to admit it, they should have never sent me here. Even though it made my inside a lot tuffer. Especially tuffer than the outside.

I decided to slow down. It was becoming really late, and I was beat tired. I slowed down to a very slow walk. They were all ahead of me. Then finally stopped.

" Well guys," Grentten started. " Looks like if we don't make a stop for camp soon, were gonna have a zombie tomorrow."

" Nice try Grentten," Quinten said. He could tell I was still in no mood for laughs. I bet everybody could, but Grentten of course. " She's depressed. Probably only sleep and time will cheer her up."

" I'm gonna sleep here tonight..." I said getting down leg heavy.

" I'll go check the area to make sure theres no visitors," Quinten said. " If you know what I mean."

" Ok then," Kale said. " Then I guess I'll tie the horses."

" Mmm-hmmm...," I mumbled half asleep.

" See what'd I tell you," Grentten said. " A zombie."

It was really hard to sleep that night. I was having this terrible nightmare. It might have been a memory, but it seemed real enough.

I was alone in a dark dungeon and I was chained up. I tried to get free, but it was a struggle. Then I heard a voice.

" I wouldn't do that if I were you," the voice said. " You'll get hurt little lady."

" What?" I said to no one in particular. " What do you mean?"

" Those chains are made from clada spine. They'll rip your limbs to shreads if they get the chance," The voice said again.

Then a huge explosion sounded. It was close too. Then the chains started ripping and tearing at my wrists and ankles. The voice or guy was right. They would rip me to shreads. I was already dripping with blood.

It was streaming down my arms and legs. Then another chain of clada wrapped around my neck and started tearing at that. It hurt so bad! I was screaming bloody murder. Nobody heard me though... and I don't think nobody would...

" Kira!" somebody yelled. " Kira! Wake up!"

I sprung up panting and drenched. But it wasn't in sweat. It was in blood. Bright red, dripping blood.

" Wha... What happened!" I screamed. " Where'd the blood come from?!"

" Don't yell," he said again. Of course it was Kale. Again. " We really don't know, but its probably from that crazy nightmare you were having."

" Thank god it was a nightmare," I said in relief.

" Technically it was a nightmare," he started. " But whatever happened in that nightmare, happened to you here. In the real world. You even have scars now."

My body was aching from the dream. In the exact places where I was being shreaded by the clada spines. But how in the god dang world did that happen! How could it happen here in the real world.

" Kira, take this," Kale said while giving me a necklace. " You always had this on Shadaria. I think you used it as a dream catcher."

" Thanks Kale," I said. " I sure hope it works."

The necklace was very pretty. I was a white chain, with a big sapphire jewel in the middle of a crystalized knot. As soon as I touched it though, the scars quickly disappeared. I quickly sat up and felt my neck. The pain was gone. The pain was gone entirely. From my legs, ankles and every where else.

Just in quick relief I hugged Kale again. Yes again. But this time no squeezing. Also instead of getting up and walking out of the woods. He layed down a little ways around the tree from me. I guess it was to keep an eye on me, but I like to think of it as a different reason.
