	You Had Me At "Hey" 7 - "Suki... can I kiss you?"
	Chapter 7 I woke up groggily and hit my alarm with all my might. I was pretty excited because tonight was my date with Michael. We spent all of last night talking on the phone and he promised to pick me up at about 6-ish. Which gave me most of the day to get ready. I reached for my cell phone and texted Maria to get her arse over here now. As I was taking out the rubbish I noticed a pink envelope lying on the welcome mat. I smiled to myself and picked it up. I thought I would open it later and went to wait for Maria to come. "SUKI-BABY! I'M HEREEEEEE!" I heard Maria shout, I rolled my eyes. Maria had the most unusual ways of coming my house, "Alright! I heard ya, no need to shout," I said, opening the door only to be attacked by Maria in a fierce hug, "HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!" she screamed, I blinked rapidly as I felt bells ringing in my ear, "Whoa..." I muttered, shaking my head, "Happy Valentine's Day to you too!" "Darren's taking me to this fancy restaurant later," she said, dreamily clutching her hands to her heart and twirling around like a ballerina. I laughed at her and headed to the kitchen, "Want anything?" I asked, as I poured myself a glass of water, "Nah!! We need to get you ready!" she exclaimed, already dragging me off to my bedroom, "B-b-but ... it's only 12!" I said, trying to keep my glass steady, "So... the more time the better!" she said, I rolled my eyes as she pushed me into the bathroom. "Okay? This one," I said, as I picked up a shimmering green boobtube and holding it against me, "Nah... to showy," she said, looking up from her magazine, "I'm thinking... a dress," I rose an eyebrow, I never wore dresses... and she knew that. She must have seen the looked on my face and chuckled, "Oh come on! It's not everyday that you get to dress up!" she said, pouting, "Fine... whatever. Just as long as it's a nice one," but I don't think she heard me as she was alreayd raiding my closet, "PERFECT!" she said, holding up the chosen dress. And I must admit, it looked pretty damn good, "Okay, make-up time," she said, coming towards me with a mascara wand. I blinked rapdily, looking absolutely terrified, "Uh... don't poke me," I squeaked. "DONE!" Maria, said. I stood infront of my full length mirror and had to say Maria had done a pretty good job. My hair was made in loose curls and I had light make-up on. My dress was a strapless short black dress with white polka-dots all over it. I had a pair of black dolly shoes and I was raring to go, "Aww, my baby is all grown-up!" Maria cooed over me, handing me a bolero. I batted her off and suddenly heard the doorbell ring, "Oh. My. God!! HE'S HERE!!" I squealed, Maria smiled, "Go get him girl!" she said. I skipped down the stairs and opened the door. There stood Michael looking as handsome as ever, in a suit. Upon sight of me, his jaw dropped open, "Something wrong?" I asked, worriedly, "N-n-noo... you look.. stunning, you really do," he said, after a while. I positively beamed at him and took his hand, "Come on... I've got a surprise," he whispered in my ear, sending a chill down my spine. "Where are we going?" I asked, for about the fiftieth time, "I told you, it's a surprise," Michael said, smiling secretively at me. I pouted at him and crossed my arms, "Alright we're here!" he said, jumping out of the car and opening the door for me, like a true gentleman. I stared in disbelief at where we were, "Oh... Michael, it's beautiful," I breathed. We were at a beach overlooking the sunset and on the side already laid out was a picnic for two, I smiled at him and hugged him tightly, "This is so romantic," I said, "Thank you," "S'okay," he replied, leading me to the picnic, "And this is for you," He produced a single pink rose from the hamper basket and handed it to me, I gasped, "It's beautiful," I said, "Here, you can tuck it behind you're ear," he said, placing the rose in my hair. His hand brushed my cheek and I blushed, he coughed awkwardly. After eating he lead me to the edge of the beach, "I used to come here when I was little, to get away from stuff... you know?" he said to me, "I do," I said, smiling up at him. He gently clasped my hand in his and pulled me closer. My breathe caught in my throat and he looked me in the eye, "Suki... can I kiss you?" he asked, after a moment. I merely nodded and that's when I felt the softest pair of lips on mine. And that was our first sweet kiss. I got home and was in a happy daze and I was smiling dopily to myself. I got a glass of water and popped my pink rose into it. I plopped onto the bed and noticed the pink envelope from this morning lying on my beside table. Curiously I reached for it and opened it up, "Dear Suki, I know things have been hard on us and know most of it was my fault... but I hope that in your heart you can forgive me. I am so sorry for the way I have mistreated you and I promise with all my heart that I will never hurt you again. I love you Suki... there I said it. I know I should say it face to face. I know I'm with Teri. But I still love you. And I always will, no matter if you have a new boyfriend or whether I have a new girlfriend, whatever. I love you damnit... from the moment that I saw you. I was just scared to act upon my feelings and I guess now it's just too late. Always loving you, Aidan xx" My breathe caught in my throat for the second time that night. Aidan loved me? The only problem was... did I still have feelings for him?
