	The First Footage

	After we went back to Jack’s house and got the video camera we all agreed on going back to that huge rail we all grinded on yesterday. “Let’s each have a different grind to start off with” Jared suggested “we can show our skill individually” “Yeah sure, that sounds like a great idea” Shawn agreed “who’s first?” We all looked at each other “Not me I want to go last, save the best till last” I said smiling at Brad. Everyone laughed looking at Brad “hey hey hey, stop!” Brad yelled “I nearly broke my back” “Uh that’s why we’re laughing” Shawn teased “you should’ve seen your face” “Oh yeah, you nearly fell off too, your board shook underneath you heaps, you just made it by a little bit” Brad shouted back getting frustrated “Well at least I didn’t fly off my board like a bird” Shawn said still laughing. Brad gave him a mean look “If your so good grind it again and this time we’ll tape it, but if you fall it won’t be a one and only thing, we’ll watch it on tape over and over again” he snarled “got the guts” “as a matter of fact, I do” Shawn said picking up his skateboard “It’ll be easy and I don’t back down” Shawn ran to the top of the stairs. “Press record when I skate up to the rail” he ordered “don’t miss this.” I passed Jared the video camera “you can work it more then I can” I told him “here, take it.” Me, Jared and Brad waited as Shawn skated up to the rail. I hope he makes it and looks professional; but I know what Brad was thinking. He probably wanted Shawn to stack so he could get back at him. I saw Jared press record as Shawn crouched on his skateboard getting ready to Ollie. Here he goes, he better make it because I know how annoying Brad can get if he has a grudge against someone. Shawn perfectly Ollied onto the rail doing a nose grind like last time; but he was focusing more and controlling his balance. He’s had experience at this same rail and same grind. He’s going great so far. I looked over to see Brad glaring hard at Shawn. I knew he was hoping he’d stack; but he didn’t, he made it to the end of the rail. We all had to stay quiet because if we sent this tape to Tony Hawks and it had heaps of loud cheering on it he might not like it. He landed the grind smoothly but nearly lost his board; but continued to maintain balance. Jared pressed stop on the video camera as Shawn finished his grind. “Nice” we all started cheering. Everyone accept Brad. “Good work” I congratulated him as he skated over to us “you made that rail history” “Yeah man I know” He said relieved “that was the best nose grind I’ve ever done.” Shawn looked over to Brad. “Told you I could make it” He bragged “I knew it” “yeah that was an alright grind I guess” Brad said looking away. “No hard feelings right, piece?” Shawn asked “are we still cool?” Brad looked over to him “yeah ok.” Shawn put up his hand and Brad responded with a high five. We went off to find a different spot for Jared to grind. He was up next.
