| Superficial, that's what one magizine had to say about her. As Lauren Haren read and drank her coffee, Fredrick walked up to where she was sitting. "Anything good Mrs. Haren?" he asked her pleasently, glancing at the cover of her magizine. "Just junk," she replied, throwing the magizine aside. She sighed deeply, then brushed her blonde bangs out of her eyes. "What do you thing you're doing?" "Talking to my sweet and kind boss while enjoying a nice cup of coffee," he stated, a hint of sarcasism in his voice. "You forgot superficial," she added with a gloomy expression. "No I didn't, where'd that come from?" he was curious. "The Weekly Gossip," she answered, refering to the magizine laying on her table. "Oh that piece of crap?" he asked. "Yeah," she said, "why are you sitting here?" "Again, just having a nice cup of coffee with most down to Earth person I know." He smiled at her. "Where should you be?" she asked completely disreguarding his comforting comment. "It's my break," he said defensively. "What break? You're the only employee to the coffee shoppe, that's why it's open during check-in hours only," she corrected him. "Fine, your hotel, your rules," he gave in, "I'll get back to work." He immedently stood up and walked back to the counter. Right after he had left, Lauren regretted it, there was no one else to talk to. There were two other people in the shoppe who had The Weekly Gossip in their hands, no doubt reading the charming article on superstar Lauren Haren, and her hypocritical ways. One of the women began staring at her, she rolled her eyes, picked up her coffee cup, and walked out, leaving the magizine laying on the table. | |||
