When you take off your Armour,
check for wounds and you'll find none.
I took every sword swung for you,
I stood in between you and every gun.

For you see bullets cant harm me,
and my steal like skin can not be cut.
I could hold my breath endlessly,
Easily take a cannonball to the gut.

So how has it come that I am about to die?
Please take the time to read and I shall tell you why.

Its no illusion that I am fast losing blood,
As I slump over dying and can no longer see.
It was I who saved you during every flood,
The only thing your Armour protected you from was me.

It saved you from every loving hug,
Stopped dead the tracks of any hopeful kiss.
You never felt me giving you a tug,
I spent everyday trying to tell you this.

But you were busy looking out for knives,
while I took them all in the back.
I am just a lonely cat who spent his nine lives,
being dealt all the jokers in the pack.

The lack of attention broke my heart,
the rejection snapped my spine.
Unfortunately your only listening now as I must part,
I just wanted you to let you know...
The blood that covers your Armour is mine.
