	Under The Moonlight

	The rain beat hard against the pavement as a figure ran in the darkness. The footsteps were the only other sound heard aside the pelting rain. A malicous voice pierced the other monotonous tones "Dont run...". 'Thud'. Screaming. Lighting flashed. A bloody face appeared, it hissed baring bloody fangs. A radio alarm blared a hard rock song and almost instantly a smooth pale hand shot out and smacked the off/on button twice. The hand belonged to a twenty year old woman, Lily. She sat up and as she did so her hair fell in front of her face. Her hair was as black as a moonless night streaked with blood red. She pushed her hair back and crawled out of bed. In the time span of a half an hour she got dressed, combed her hair, put on eyeliner and eyeshadow, and got something to eat. It was eight o'clock and she had to leave. She sat in one of her classes listening to her professor lecture the class. He was blabbing on about something she already knew, and since he was going to continue on this topic, she gathered her bag and left. Some people stared at her, but she was used to it. This was her last class of the day so it was about two in the afternoon. She walked to her apartment and just watched TV and surfed the Internet. About an hour later she had to go to work. She left and locked the door behind her. She worked at a CD buy/trade/cell place,and worked until ten. It was around ten when she said goodbye to her boss. Thunder rumbled and lightning flashed, rain started to fall. 'Great' she thought, she didnt own a car, so she had to walk everywhere. She shrugged her shoulders and just walked into the rain, buttoning up her long coat. Her hair started to get soaked and rain pelted the pavement. Lightning flashed periodically alongside the thunder. She picked up her pace as the rain really started coming down. 'Click' a gun was cocked. A deep malicious voice slashed into the monotonous tones surrounding her "Don't run". She did and her shoes smacked against the pavement, the stranger's echoing after. Somwhere along, she wasnt quit sure, her shoes lost friction and she slid forward and fell, smacking her head against the pavement. She grunted and felt her head. Lighting flashed. She saw blood on her fingertips. She felt something, like a lust. She wanted the blood. She licked her fingers, but spit it out. She wanted blood but not her own. Her eyes turned completely red and the stranger was coming up. Had she moved at an unhuman speed? She didnt know, the only thing she knew is that she wanted blood. The stranger looked about in the darkness clumsily. Lily stared right at him, she could see him as if it were day. The attacker believed he had found her and he was right, except for the fact that she was about ten times faster than him. She sped up to him and shoved him, he flew hard into a tree, splintering it, along with his bones. It was a sickening sound of bones cracking. She looked over his body and noticed fragments of bone peircing through the man's skin. She knelt down and smiled, her canines grew until they were as sharp as a newly sharpened blade. She ripped into his neck and sucked the blood. Crimson blood dribbled out of her mouth and dripped off of her chin as her red eyes flashed in the darkness.
