	Matthew and Bertha to the rescue!

	Matthew was walking through the house one day and he went into a room where he saw a dog picture. It was a long picture that went from the ceiling to the floor. It had all different dogs on it. Bertha was exploring the house too and came into the same room Matthew was in. "What you doing, Matthew?" said Bertha. "I can't get this doggie picture off the wall and I want to show mummy so she can put it in my room," said Matthew. "I'll try and get it down," said Bertha. Bertha pulled a chair over from the corner and climbed up on it. She pulled the picture off the wall and set it on the floor. She looked up at the wall to see a door! The children opened the door. They saw a dark tunnel. "I have a torch in my room," said Bertha. She ran out of the room. Five minutes later Bertha came back with her torch. "Come on. Let's go!" Bertha said. Inside the tunnel there were loads of different ways to go. First Matthew and Bertha went first left. They came to a dead end. "Let's go back," said Bertha. Off the children went back again and then they went first right. No. Nothing there so they kept trying all of them and eventually they saw a treasure chest. "Let's take it back and we'll put it in your room, Bertha," said Matthew. When they were in Bertha's room they looked at the chest and made up their minds that they would keep this a secret.
