AfterShock

I slept through my stop and woke up at the end of the line in a place called
Gloccamorra. The last Cherry Aftershock I'd had was certainly living up to its name. My head throbbed and regretted Maria's powers of persuasion and wished I'd listened to my gut instinct and just gone home instead of heading to the Goth Bar. At first I waited for the bus back but after an hour and a half it was obvious there wasn't one.
Frantically I searched for someone -anyone but the whole place was strangely deserted. Shivering I left the station hoping to find a taxi but the dark streets were errie and horribly empty. Suddenly a motorbike whizzed past me.
"Thanks for stopping!" I yelled after it."Damsel in Distress here! Hello! Typical!" I pressed the buttons on my mobile phone but the battery was flat. How was I going to get home now? This place was getting creepier by the second and I was sure I could hear the echo of duelling banjos.
"I'll just have to find a phone box." I muttered as I started walking. but there was no sign of one but I certainly didn't want to knock on any stranger's door. I might end up disected in some lab and I was sure I was being followed. I broke into a run and hurried round street corner after street corner and suddenly there it was - a blue phone box. I rushed towards it hoping I had enough change. I knew Bob would be mad with me for waking him up this hour but I didn't have a choice. He didn't approve of Maria and right now I honestly shared his point of view.If it wasn't for her I'd be snuggling up to Bob under a warm duvet.
The phone box doors slowly creaked as I pulled them open. Stepping inside I began to wish I hadn't had that last joint....... ..
