	Cross Your Path I stand alone in the middle of a shallow stream– I can’t see the other side On this stepping stone I balance myself, I have nothing to hide I can’t remember the beginning, the bank from where I started But I look back along the way seeing stones of different shapes and the steps that were the hardest Sometimes it’s easy to lose your way You take the wrong path and have nowhere to go, nothing to gain Or maybe you lose your footing altogether Getting your clothes soaked and end up worse than weather Then times you’re in the water and cant get back on Like your path has abandoned you, lost your grip before dawn And you float away, ever distant ever dazed So you wash to a waterfall and it softens the pain I’m in the middle still, I can see the danger If you drift away, ill dive in, ill save you This crossing isn’t made alone, steps together make us stronger than stone Your never alone, always a helping hand – don’t make it on your own It’s hard to find the next step for some, The way ahead is crowded by mist – no easy way will come But keep on moving, do your best If you fall get back up, and pass out all the rest Because some steps lead to high points – other lead to low Eventually water trashes your steps but a lot not even a trickle will show There’s steps you’ll take where you foresee the next one Then someone blocks your stone and hard work is undone You’ll always find another way round Just a few extra steps, one or two will astound I know when we look back on moves we made we shake our heads We’ll look forward hoping for a glimpse but we’ll go through tomorrow instead Believe in yourself, Believe in your steps Follow your instinct and forget all the rest Our loved ones will be waiting for us on the banks some day or night We’ll see there faces again and our journeys will fill us with pride So let’s take the next step now, we’ll do it together Hard decisions can be the best, the ones to cherish forever The meaning of this path is to cross it till the end What happens after that, it’s up to you my friend
