A Race against Time

Dan rushed up to kellar looking for Jac’s address. ‘Whats the rush?’ Maddy said looking at a slightly red Dan. ‘Jac she’s in trouble I need her address. ‘What trouble?’ ‘Does it matter I need to get there now!’ ‘Fine, look calm down, I’m sure it’s here somewhere’ ‘Ok, lets look on the computer’ He began to type franticly, ‘Finally’ He scribbled it down and ran towards his car. ‘Do you need back up?’ Maddy yelled down the corridor. ‘I will ring you immediately if I do!’ He replied.

As he got into his car he looked again at the address then took off at an extremely high speed. As he arrived, he was scared to what he might find. He pushed the door down. ‘Jac’ He yelled, no answer. ‘Jac!’ He yelled even louder, but still there came no answer. He walked into the living room about to give up, when he saw her in a puddle of blood. He ran down to her side, trying to stop the bleed with his jacket. He looked up for the phone, but he saw the knife. ‘No Jac you can’t of…’ Realising he had little time he immediately rang Maddy. ‘Hello?’ ‘Mad it’s me’ ‘What? Is she ok?’ ‘No she’s stabbed herself in the abdomen with a knife, it looks nasty can you call an ambulance now!’ ‘Ok’. He hung up. Noticing Jac’s breathing is shallow he decides to try and stop the bleed here.

He lifts her onto the sofa and cleans her up a bit. He estimates the situation and reaches for his bag. ‘Right lets fix you up’ Turning on the CD player. He gets out his scalpel and cuts deep into the skin. He quickly applies pressure. ‘Ah, there it is’ then tying the bleed he carefully removes the top of the knife lodged into her stomach with some pliers. ‘Gotchya’ he puts the part onto the table and begins to finish off feeling relieved.

The ambulance arrived moments later. ‘Finally here comes the cavalry’ ‘Sorry traffic what have we got?’ ‘Jac Nayler 24, stab wound to her abdomen of which I managed to sort out’ ‘Ok lets get her to holby’ They lifted Jac onto a stretcher and then took her away to the ambulance. ‘Did you want to come with her?’ ‘Well I started the job I might as well finish it!’ ‘Hop in’ ‘Gladly’.
