it began when gorbak (goros father) asked him and durak to meet in a secret shokan cave.each were to present to ther farther a gift of honor.durak was going to present his father with a jewel.goro had no gift to give to his father.gorbak said that in the shokan it was nesasary to even be willing to kill his brother.so goro and durak faught.goro was near the edge of the dark hole durak kicked goro off the ledge bot was still hanging on.durakhelped his brother back up.it was over durak was the victor.but just before durak presented gorbak with the jewel goro atacked durak.but this time knocking off durak.durak was hanging from the ledge.goro asked him to hand him the jewel or nether of them could honor ther father.goro looked down on his brother out of no whare goro raised his foot and stood on his brothers hand.which leed to durak falling off the ledge. but it was not that that changed mortal kombat later that year shang sung chalendg the founder of mortal kombat.a grand master from the order of light.the monk faught well but was no match for shangs dark majic.just before the monk dide shang reveald a secret power.the ability to steal souls.it was that day that mortal kombat became a despret struggle betwen the realms.read chapter 4 to see liu kangs begining.MORTAL KOMBAT
