| Following the success of 2006’s Civilian, Boy Kill Boy are back, and darker. Perhaps it’s no surprise; capable of producing indie anthems, but equally well-versed in a brooding, nocturnal sound reminiscent of The Cure, BKB have a dark side that’s baffled journalists and even unsettled the band themselves. After a troubling time recording in Cornwall, the band left for Brighton, where they wrote more. With a set of songs down, BKB left for the legendary Sunset Sound studios in LA to hook up with revered producer Dave Sardy and Stars and the Sea was born. BKB fans will love it, but it’s liable to earn them a whole raft of new supporters, too.
