GETTING CLOSE196 weeks ago

Hi guys and thank you so much for signing up for Streetreach. Sorry for the time lag in getting back to you but we are also in the middle of moving premises as well as starting a new programme and working on a long-term vision. Streetreach Communication suffered as a result.

We have been so blessed by the interest this year. There are likely to be over 40 people involved in Streetreach this year and most people are signing up for the the whole week.

DONATIONS:

Firstly, Thank you to everyone who donated the 15.00 contribution. WHilst it is not forced we appreciate all the donations we get for this project. To put it in perspective it costs us roughly 50 per person to just stay and work (not including equipment) and we have suffered an unexpected cut in some funding - so your money is gratefully received.

PHOTOS:

Secondly, We really do need the photos. I know you don't like sending photos on and I'm writing to ask you to please send in your photos ASAP by e-mail now (post is too late). We want the passes done before you arrive on MOnday as we will have just too much on that morning to start working out admin stuff.

ACCOMODATION

For anyone needing accomodation the following is how we have set this up.

Under 18's are staying at my home, with Carla and ELI. There are three girls and one boy. PLease check attachment and ensure that we have this right.

Over 18's are staying in Emmanuel Free methodist Church, Cunningham's Lane where we will all be based for the week. Again, see attachment to ensure that we have this right.

ALL PEOPLE NEEDING ACCOMODATION HAVE FREE ACCESS TO THE LEISURE CENTRE SHOWERS THROUGHOUT THE WEEK!

You will need something to lie on and sleeping bags.

Some people asked if they could stay over on the Sunday night. At present Seth, Matt, Brendan and Grace are staying with us. WE DON't HAVE ANY MORE FLOOR SPACE and we can't use the church until Monday morning so please arrange this with freinds or come on MOnday morning.

START TIME:

TO accomodate those travelling we are starting a little later. Meet at the church for 10am to have coffee and ready to start at 10.30.

MONDAY MORNING IS CRUCIAL to attend for Health & Safety and CHILD Protection so please be there on time. So please remember 10am start for 10.30

T-SHIRTS: We had hoped to have t-shirts printed for you guys but a few things happened. Firstly we didn't get sizes from everyone and secondly we had some funding pulled so we don't have the money for it. Sorry.

ON that point please make sure you bring old clothes for going out (especially waterproof) and ensure that you don't mind getting ripped, dirty, wet or getting paint on (there is a painting team this year)

TEAMS:

We are aware some of you are coming with friends etc and we have tried to accomodate people as best possible but due to child protection we have had to be careful this year. There are much more over 18's this year participating and many of you are not passed by PSNI checks. For that reason we have been forced to split primarily by age. We will see how this goes but ask that you don't come up to us on monday to ask to change teams for this very reason. We are limited by what we can do and we may well have enough on our hands on day one just getting you out there.

Under 18's are in one estate and in one team which splits in the evenings into a sports team and children's team. More detail on arrival.

DIRECTIONS:

Emmanuel church is on Cunningham's Lane in Dungannon. Coming from the M1 you go through the first set of traffic lights and at the second set of traffic lights you will see a BP Garage. Turn right at the garage and take the first road on your left. Go 200 yards and on your left (on a hill) you will see a church called EMMANUEL Free Methodist. WE will be here from about 9.30

COOKING:

We have covered about 50% of the meals but if anyone is willing to help cook a meal (we pay for the food) and cook for 40 people then please let me know. Again, I can't do it all.

EAST TIMORESE:

We are quite excited about three people coming to work with us who have a focus on the E.TImorese. SLightly older but really strong Christians I am quite excited about what they may have for us this year.

PRAYER:

PLease get praying for us this year. Pray God equips you and fills you up to serve the community. Pray for us in the organising of the event and in ensuring we have all the right equipment. Be prepared to use the prayer room and let God speak to you and above all come to serve God and hear what He wants to do in you and in the communities you are seeking to serve.

I know that's alot of informaiton but again please just know that I think you guys are fantastic!!!!

Bless you!!!!
