| Understanding people with disorders | 253 días hace | ||
| Understanding people with a disorder can be challenging to most of us who consider ourselves healthy and without ailments. But for the patient suffering, it can be unbearable especially if they are not understood by the people they love. Sometimes the best cure for such disorders lie only in the eyes of the people who truly care and understand those who are in stress and panic. It can be a relief to find out that the mistakes caused by the victim of the disorder, are not intentional but can only be a result of the disorder without the victim knowing it. Gaining back the life once lost takes time and so the help of a book or a therapist can make it possible for the patient to have that life back. Reading self help books not only provide information about the disorder but also a haven for the hopeless to find out that there are stories that will sound so much like what they are experiencing. Let me tell you a story of my friend who was diagnosed with a disorder. It only came to her when she had a major breakdown because of a transition in life. She almost killed herself because she was not aware that it was the disorder that causes her to think that way. Many times did she tell me that she sees her life stagnant and that she wanted to see the afterlife. Of course at that time, I do not know that it was depression brought about by the disorder that made her think that way, that is why I find her weird to say that. She even thought that she is going to be the mother of the anti-christ. Always finding meaning in her life and believing in dreams and healing from dreams. These are symptoms of a disorder that a common person will not be able to identify until he or she grabs a book or search the Internet to read about the disorder. My friend was merely existing and not really living her life with the disorder. But because of the people who surrounded her with comfort and love, she later on discovered that it was not her own desire to end her life but it was the disease. Thanks to the videos and the books available out there. She was enlightened and is now conscious of the symptoms of her disorder. Anxiety disorder can vary depending on the levels of anxiety a person can be classified in. But no matter how serious it can be to the victim, what is good to know is that there is hope and that life goes on for all of us. | |||
