yourLDSNeighborhood (http://yourLDSNeighborhood.com) is a collection of vendors, musicians, authors and artists who have gathered together to present a safe browsing, shopping and informative community for people worldwide.Drop by the Neighborhood and check out the unique website and presentation of pages and sites. The different blocks of the Neighborhood are: Arts & Entertainment: where you can find beautiful art and newsstand articles centered around art and movies. The articles are written by author and artist, Gaynell Parker and childrens author, L.S. Keilbart, a.k.a. Linda Scanlan. Books: where you can find a a great selection authors and books of every flavor, suitable for the Christian market. Our selection is growing weekly, and we encourage you to drop by and do a little shopping. The newsstand articles center around book reviews provided by author, Alison Palmer. Clothing & More: On this block you'll find great looking clothing for the modest, yet stylish, dresser. On the newsstand you'll find articles from Nichole Giles who write on jewelry, clothing, accessories and more. Health & Food: This block is one of my favorite. Here is where you will find great vendors like 30 Meals in One Day, Food Storage and Preparedness, Vitamins and Nutritional Supplements and more. The newsstand articles are written by author, speaker and instructor, Candace E. Salima who writes on health issues, as well as providing recipes; and Keith Fisher, national dutch oven champion who provides great advice for dutch oven cooking twice a week. Home & Family: What a fantastic block this one is. Vendors centered around the home and family. For the newsstands we have Muriel Sluyter who writes on society's issues and provides common sense, logical solutions. Also, we have the nation's foremost expert on Preparedness Planning and Disaster Preparedness, Barbara Saslbury. And both are putting articles up on the newsstand twice a week, just like the rest of our blocks. LDS Outlets: This block is a potpourri of services and vendors such as scrapbooking, music lessons from established musicians, dental plans and more. Heather Justesen writes gardening and landscaping articles for the newsstand while C.L. Beck provides the humor. Informative and fun, can't ask for more than that. Music: Now this block is loaded with music. There's a fantastic Jukebox where you can download music from your favorite musicians. Lots of great music stores, just a really fun block. Noted musician, Julie Keyser blogs a couple of times a month about all things related to music. Be sure to drop by and check it out. New Neighbors: Everyone new to the Neighborhood gets a spot on this block for their first week in the Neighborhood. So you can check back and see what or who is new. Author and humorist, Cheri Crane, writes a travel and traditions column for the newsstands on this block. She's a blast, and you want to drop by twice a week, every Monday and thursday, and hit the newsstands on every block, including New Neighbors. Religious: This is a great block for religious products and columns by author, Rebecca Talley on every spiritual topic or doctrine. Scrapbooking & Crafts: If you are a scrapbooker or into crafts, this is the block for you. And we have a scrapbooker extraordinaire writing the articles for this newsstand. Kim Thompson is full of helpful hints and ideas, she's even inspired those who have refused to start scrapbooking to give it a shot. Services: From collectible coins to real estate, the Services block has all types. It's a great place to drop and find a trusted vendor. Author Liz Adair writes the columns for this newsstand, all on service rendered to our fellow man. Sports & Recreation: Now this is a fun block. From My Gym Children's Fitness to BYU, this is a fun block to virtually walk. Rachelle Christensen blogs about recreation while her husband, Steve, blogs about Sports. Both hit the newsstands on Monday and Thursday, just like every other block. Add the Neighborhood Blog (http://yourldsneighborhood.blogspot.com) and you've got a fun virtual community to check out. So drop on by the Neighborhood, we'd love to see you. | |||
