The princess’ Guardian. He had two forms he could take, each with different abilities. Firstly he had his ‘Fake form’, which was a small winged black kitten. This was the form he stayed in for most of his time. His other was a Black winged panther. This form was much more capable, but it came with one major downside. Staying in this form for longer than ten minutes would drain any magical energy he had at an alarming rate." Author's Description Maro is the guardian of the Water element, and more importantly, it's possesor. It is his job to make sure no harm befalls Princess Lupato. He has two forms which he can change between at will. His first is his 'fake' form, a small winged black kitten. While in this form, Maro is much faster and more agile, but only has half of his magical energy. His 'true' form is a large black Panther. While in this form he has all of his magical energy, and can borrow energy from the Water around him, including the density in the air, but he cannot stay in the form long, as it takes a lot of energy to sustain after 10 minutes. Gender: Male Age: 23 Relationships - Lupato Karamune (Fiancee) Nori (Master) Magical Rank: 1 First Appearance: Chapter 1 Last Appearance: Chapter 1 [Dies] Description taken from the story [Currently Undescribed] Author's Description Prince of the kingdom of Karamune [Being the son of the Queen] He is one of the 4 high sorcerers assigned with the duty of protecting the Kingdom of Karamune against outsider attacks. His skill is with Hope Magic and he was the master of Wind - The Hope element, until his death, caused by being crushed by a piece of a deceased Earth elemental. (Ironically, Earth is the Enemy of Wind) His most powerful spell was the Wind element spell, and he has learned to use it as not only an attack, but also as a shield, and a means of catching things. (Demonstarted when Princess Lupato fell from the sky, and he used the Wind spell to form a cusion underneath her.) His job was to make sure that no harm befell Prince Yokatu, but upon the death of the Prince, he was assigned the job of fixing the Princes magical staff and finding his replacment. Like Maro, he also has two forms which he can change between at will. His 'fake' form is a small winged ginger kitten. While in this form, he is much faster and more agile, but only has half of his magical energy. His true form is a winged lion, and in this form he has all of his magical energy, and can also draw energy from the Wind around him, but he cannot stay in this form long, as it begins to drain his magical energy after 10 minutes. Keitaro Oliver Dagal Key-taa-row O-li-ver Dar-gul Name meaning: Keitaro is a Japanese name which means "Blessed" Gender: Male Age: 16 Relationships: Miranda Dagal (Son) Heiro Dagal (Son) Misa Avalon (Friend) Makoto Sydney Hechi (Friend) Eulalie Metona (Friend) First Appearance: Chapter 2 Description taken from the story [Currently Undescribed] Author's Description Keitaro is a young boy who lives in a cottage with his Mother, Father and Older Brother. He spends most of his time at the edge of the forest near his home, enjoying the tranquility there. Whenever something threatens the forest he will venture in and kill it. He uses Faith Magic, and he can brew basic potions including strength and happiness potions. He is also the inventor of a Thirst-Quenching potion, a potion which will make the drinker fully hydrated from only a teaspoonful. Taiboku Tie-bow-coo Name meaning: Taiboku is Japanese for "Large Tree" Gender: None (It's a tree, why don't you tell me the gender you idiot) Age: Unknown Relationships: None Magical Rank: [None] First Appearance: Chapter 2 Description taken from the story "The largest tree in the forest. He was directly in the centre of the forest. That explained why the trail had stopped. All the trees near Taiboku were protected. It had magical properties, very powerful magical properties." Author's Descripton The tree in the exact centre of the forest near Keitaro's family's cottage. It posses great deal of magical energy, so much that the trees directly surrounding Taiboku (Including Taiboku itself) cannot be damaged in any way. There is a legend among people who live close to the forest that says if Taiboku is in danger at any time, and someone assists it, then Taiboku will grant them a fabulous gift, but this legend is disregarded by many, as everyone believes Taiboku more than capable of defending the forest on it's own. Keitaro passes Taiboku when he chases a silver wolf through the forest, which turns out to be a demon. Keitaro tries to fight the demon, but he cannot do so without a staff, so Taiboku gives him a branch and expells some of his magical energy into the air, which Keitaro absorbs into the staff and uses to defeat the demon. Despite leaving the staff with Taiboku, on the way out of the forest Ketaro finds it propped against a tree which he was sleeping against earlier that day, and takes the staff home with him. She knows how to brew many potions, but is more skilled with with preparing drinks, her specialty being tea. Misa Avalon Mee-sah A-vah-lon Name Meaning: Unsure, taken from the character Misa Amane [Death note] Gender: Female Age: 16 Relationships: Heiro Avalon (Daughter) Keitaro Dagal (In Love with, but not returned by Keitaro, who sees her as a friend) Magical Rank: 5 First Appearance: Chapter 3 Description taken from the story [Keitaro opens his front door, to find Misa] "He was taken back when he saw who was behind it. It was a girl, who was about 16 years of age. She had long blonde hair which reached roughly to her waist, and a rather cute face to go with it. She was wearing a normal, sleeveless, black dress which reached her knees, and had long white arm warmers on to make up for the lack of sleeves." Author's Description Misa is the daughter of Heiro Avalon, and meets Keitaro after accompanying her father to pick him up. She instatly falls in love with him, although Keitaro does not return her love. She enjoys hugging Keitaro very enrggetically, usually knocking him into a wall, or onto the floor. Misa is a (recently promoted) Medium-Level Hope magician. Khato (No last name yet) Kaa-tow Name Meaning: None, Author made it up Gender: Male Age: 22 Relationships: Fella (Owner) Magical Rank: Unknown First Appearance: Chapter 4 Description taken from the story [After removing a very large travelling cloak] "He was quite tall, about 5’11” and his long, dirty hair was blonde now that it was in some light. Hiding behind a pair of glasses were his brown eyes, although he preferred the term ‘Chocolate.’ His skin was red and sweaty from where it had been underneath the cloak, but it would normally be slightly tanned, and he had loose clothes on, which he’d worn deliberately because he knew how hot the cloak would have been just by looking at it." Author's Description A Citizen of Demaleca, given a [currently unknown] mission, which requires him to travel across the sandy lands which seperate the cities and kingdoms, so that he may reach the Kingdom of Karamune. His father is an inventor, although his inventions are often more hastle than help (As demonstrated by the boots and travelling cloak worn by Khato.) He carries a large backpack with him, which holds his tent, sleeping bag, and food that he will need on his journey. His favourite food is bacon, although he is not very good at cooking it. He has a strong love of animals, and on the second morning of his journey he encounters a small "Squirox" (A cross between a squirrel and a fox) in his tent. He lets the animal bite him to gain it's trust, and later names it "Fella." Fella the Squirox Feh-lah The Scwi-rocs Name meaning: Given to him by Khato, due to him refusing all other names, and Khato calling him "lil' fella" upon first encountering him. Gender: Male Age: 18 Months Relationships: Khato (Pet) Magical Rank: [None] First Appearance: Chapter 4 Description taken from the story [Khato is on the way to collect the firepot he left outside] " As he left the tent to get it, he found a small creature sleeping by the door. It was a beautiful little thing, with golden fur and few black patches. He bent down to scratch the behind little animal’s ears, which were quite large considering how small it was. He wasn’t sure if it was an animal though. It could still be a demon. Well, if it was, it was the cutest demon he’d seen for a long time. " [Khato finds him strugling to escape out of the pockets in his travelling cloak] " He managed to pull the animal out and held it out in front of him. It was just sitting in the palm of his hand, staring at him through its bright green eyes. “So, you wanna come with me then ‘eh?” The animal tilted its head to the side, he may as well have just said, ‘Look, I’m cute, take me with you.’ " Author's Description Fella is a Squirox, an animal based roughly on the Fox-Squirell from "Nausicaa of the valley of the wind" (Fox-Squirell pic: http://images.jbox.com/f3/teto_p41_s... ) It shares the same golden fur and large ears, and also the fact that Nausicaa let the fox-squirell bite her finger to gain it's trust, just as Khato did. Fella was trvelling through the sandstorm, but was very weak and tired, when Khato set up a shield around his tent, just as Fella was passing by. When Khato woke in the morning, Fella thought he was a predator and attacked, but soon realised that it was the man who'd set up the shield and saved his life the night before, so he decides to accompany Khato for the rest of his journey. George Jorj Name Meaning: A greek name which means "Farmer" Gender: Male Age: 54 Relationships: Hal Avalon (Friend) Magical Rank: 5 First Appearance: Chapter 5 Description taken from the story [Currently Undescribed] Authors Description George works at the front entrance to the palace, and has done for 36 years, taking the job at only 18 and being promted to Head of Palace entry security a year later, at 19. He is friends with Hal Avalon's parent's, and got Hal his job at the palace. He often speaks with Hal when he enters and leaves the palace. He gave Keitaro his palace entry card. Makoto Sydney Hechi Mah-kow-tow Sid-nee Heh-chi Name Meaning: Makoto is a Japanese name meaning "Good" Gender: Male Age: 17 Relationships: Eulalie Metona (Friend) Misa Avalon (Friend) Keitaro Oliver Dagal (Friend) Magical Rank: 4 First Appearance: Chapter 5 Description take from the story [Keitaro calls for Misa, after she runs off] A door clicked behind him and he turned, hoping to see Misa. It was a boy, who looked about a year older than Keitaro. He had short-ish hair, which was so black he was almost certain it had to be dyed, and the fringe fell over his eye. The visible eye was a grey shade of blue, and he was wearing mostly black clothes, with the exception of a dark blue bandana tied around his neck, and a pair of red arm warmers which were just visible under his jacket. Authors Descrption Makoto is a boy living at the palace, near Keitaro and Misa's rooms. He is a seemingly dark character, with typical "Emo" style clothes, and his bedroom is "covered in as much black as Makoto was himself" but in reality he is actually very helpful and kind. He is a Rank 4 Magician, and helps Keitaro and Eulalie decoate Keitaro's room by watching over them as they use Levitate, because by Magical law, they cannot perform it without an appropriate ranked Magician who can perform the spell present. Eulalie Metona Yoo-lah-lee Meh-tow-nah (Eulalie is actualy pronounced Yoo-lay-lee, but this is how I meant it to be pronounced) Name Meaning: Eulalie is a greek name, meaning "Well spoken" Gender: Female Age: 24 Relationships: Makoto Sydney Hechi (Maid, friend) Keitaro Oliver Dagal (Maid, friend) Magical Rank: 4 First Appearance: Chapter 5 Description taken from the story [Makoto calls his maid to help Keitaro] He pressed his finger into the button, and Keitaro heard a door open outside, and a knock on Makoto’s own door. When Makoto opened it, it revealed a rather beautiful lady, about 24 years old with short blonde hair and brilliant blue eyes. She was wearing a maid’s uniform with an unusually small skirt. Authors Description Eulalie is one of the maids working at the palace. She is the personal maid of Makoto Hechi, but is also assigned to Keitaro Dagal when she calls to have a maid bell installed in his room. Eulalie is a generally happy person, who likes to talk, but knows when to stop. Staten Haruko Stah-ten Ha-roo-kow Name Meaning: Haruko is actually a female Japanese name meaning "Spring Child" Gender: Male Age: 34 Relationships: King Karamune (Advisor) Magical Rank: 1 First Appearance: Chapter 5 Description taken from story [Currently Undescribed] Authors Description Master Staten Haruko is one of the 4 defenders of Karamune, and the Master of the Fire element. He is a Level 1 Hate Sorcerer, and one of King Karamunes Advisors. He protests to Keitaro becoming a defender, and is set the task of "Testing" him. To do this, he will create a monster to attack Keitaro during his defending shift. King Karamune King Ka-ra-moon Name Meaning: None, the Author made it up. (Although, after researching it, he found that "kara mune" means "vacant chest" in Japanese.) The name has been passed down the rulers since the forming of the Kingdom. King Karamune is a jolly man, who does not believe in war. This is because it heavily believed to be what finished off the pre-judgement world. His only child is Princess Lupato Karamune, but he also treats Makoto and Keitaro as his children while they are at the palace, as they are away from their parents. He believes Keitaro has the ability to defend Karamune, and argues with Haruko over this point. Eventually, the two agree that Keitaro should be tested.
