	hi everyone, thought we'd post one of the new songs we've been working on on our myspace page (myspace.com/thomastantrum). We wrote this a few months ago without meaning to. We were tired in rehearsals one day and had given up being productive with our time. I was really ill too and was lying, sprawled on the floor and Dave and Jim were messing around with weird feedback and things with me just playing lazy chords over the top until some sort of melodic sense seemed to come out of it. I think it's the first song we've ever written where the lyrics came off the top of my head as I was singing them. It's about someone I hadn't seen in a while and was missing. And then Dave Wade Brown started singing an offbeat backing vocal behind my words on the chorus which sounded amazing. And it came out like this. It is strange because it doesn't sound like anything else we've ever written before. And it also certainly doesn't sound like any of the other songs we've been writing. I really like this one though. I don't think it's a new direction, just something that came out of nowhere one day. megan x
