	Ezzz all... Just a quick message to say Happy New Year to you all from everyone at Inferno!! 2008 was an odd year for us really, things started good with all the preperations for the Breakout West Weekender at Southport until February when everything suddenly went majorly tits up. As you all no doubt know by now, Pontins pulled the plug on the weekender at the last minute leaving us with 2500 unhappy ticket holders... Fortunately most of the people involved with the event were really cool about it & all the tickets were refunded & no-one lost out too badly (apart from Pontins but fuck 'em). Rather than let this put a dampener on our year, we decided to pull our socks up & move on... we teamed up with Detonation Boulevard & Oblivion in July to put on an event called First Contact @ The Trinity in Bristol. The event went ahead as planned (despite a few problems) & was a wicked night even though it was a bit short on numbers due to so much going on in Bristol on that night... We didn't manage to cover the cost of putting on the event in the end & lost quite a bit of money. Slightly disheartened & skint, we took a break for a couple of months to concentrate on the DJ bookings that we were getting for other nights & in October started the hunt for a new venue for Inferno. We had managed to sort a few new venues & were in the process of getting the first events sorted when suddenly two of the clubs unexpectedly closed down!! This was the final straw for us & we decided to just write 2008 off as a bad year lol... Roll on 2009!!! We're absolutely bursting with awesome ideas for forthcoming events, we've got some absolute top quality DJ's lined up & we're rejuvenated & refreshed... so get ready people!!
