	John Cannon, a Physics student in DCU, is this year's producer and is "delighted" to be so. He started speech and drama at an early age and has acted in many productions including "The Merchant of Venice" In The Helix in 2006 ,"Iago" In The Helix 2007 and Mount Temple Comprehensive's production of "Gregorys Girl" in 2001. He won "Best Performance" at the 2007 One Act Festival in DCU for his role in "I don't blame you". John started producing shows three years ago with DCU's first pantomime "Babez in Da Hood" alongside Stephen Grimes and has been working in the sound and lighting industry since 2004, gathering valuable theatrical experience throughout the country in venues such as The Helix, The Millbank Theatre, The Olympia and Liberty Hall. He served as secretary of DCU Drama on the 2006/07 committee and worked on the society's last two musicals "Guys & Dolls" and "The Full Monty". He would like to thank his parents Madeleine and Paul and all his family and friends for the love and guidance they have given him from day one. He sincerely wishes the cast of Fame all the best.
