The Raid on Propeller TV (SKY channel 195)537 giorni fa

The Raid will be appearing on the national new music programme 'CHOON' on propeller TV, on Monday 9th June, SKY channel 195. You can see 'Choon' on the following dates at 9.30pm & 11.30pm:

Monday 9th June, Tuesday 17th June, Wednesday 25th June, Thursday 3rd July and Friday 11th July.

The Raid were chosen from a vast array of bands who have submitted their work to the show. Like everything that makes it on to propeller, Choon's emphasis is on new talent and great quality.

Each programme is a concentration of great new bands and musicians - there isn't a national music programme like this anywhere else in the UK. 'Choon' is open to anyone, signed or unsigned, just new and ace.

This unique show gives musicians the chance to shine in front of a national audience and gives viewers a chance to see the very best new music, to find and fall in love with new bands on their own terms while the bands are still hot and hungry. Untainted by fame, record company meddling or mollycoddled by riders and road crew.

"Madchester" band Inspiral Carpets understand the issues new musical talent faces today, not only getting their music heard on a national scale but achieving recognition from both the audience and the industry. Having just returned from a hugely successful tour, Inspiral Carpets guitarist Graham Lambert said: "The whole concept of 'Choon' is a fantastic idea, not only for a band like the Inspirals but I like the idea that new bands can be given airtime whilst unsigned. The Inspiral Carpets had very few TV options when we started out: after all there were only 4 TV channels in this country back in 1989. We relied heavily on John Peel who loved our early records. If 'Choon' had existed back then we would have been on to it like a shot!"

After the band had a sneak preview of some of the bands which will feature on 'Choon', Lambert observed: "You could feel the rawness which is what core fans buy into. 'Choon' puts an emphasis on new talent and creativity which, in a fashion-led industry, makes the concept of 'Choon' cutting edge."

Choon's producer Felix Taylor says "We're always on the look out for new bands to feature on the show, so if you're the band the nation needs to hear, if you've got that groundbreaking, heart touching, rabble rousing belter of a song to spoil our viewers with...get it on Choon".
