	Bettie Page was a pin-up model in the 50's. One of Playboy's early centerfolds, she became well-known for burlesque and was the first bondage model to become famous. There was much controversy over her pictures because (as you can see from the Photo Album titled 'Raunchy') they were incredibly risqué for the time. Some feel that her daring empowered women, while others simply feel that she was a tacky pin up. Her image however made her an icon that is still looked up to today (for example Dita Von Teese) and has been drawn on for inspiration by artists and celebrities, as well as the ordinary person.
