	We're pleased to announce that Sally Thompson, a contributor to Viper Comics' Parable anthology, and a finalist in Tokyopop's Rising Stars of Manga, will be attending Alcon and conducting a life drawing panel. Quote- "Not just about drawing fruit! How can life-drawing techniques improve your manga? In this exciting workshop, participants will learn steps they can use in their own work, and create a manga illustration inspired by life on-site! This is a participatory workshop demonstrating the application of life-drawing to manga through the creation by each participant of amanga illustration using as a base a sketch done from a live model (clothed, obviously!). Topics covered include gesture, proportions, contour, clothing, conversion to manga and possibly a peer critique. The panel will be pretty comprehensive is expected to last between 1 and a half and 2 hours." Overall, a great chance to learn some new tricks and improve your artwork! _________________
