Britney Recording Sixth Studio Album 8th May 2008 A report in "The Sun" states that Britney is recording her sixth studio album for release near Christmas this year, up against a high profile comeback from Whitney Houston, and now Bloodshy has confirmed to fans on MySpace that she is, indeed, working on a new studio album, hence her singing lessons and regular visits to the recording studio each day. A source told "The Sun," the demos are 'impressive' and that 'Britney has been on fire in the studio of late. She is determined to make a triumphant comeback.' "Radar" To Be Fourth Single From "Blackout" 7th May 2008 "Radar" will be the fourth single from Britney's fifth album, "Blackout," hitting stores in July 2008, with a video to precede it in June; it is as yet unknown if Britney will appear in person or if the video will be an animated sequel to "Break The Ice." The song was recorded in late 2006, and The Clutch, who co-wrote the song with Bloodshy & Avant, said, "Honestly, I know me personally, I’ve wanted to work with Britney Spears forever to be honest. So honestly, I don’t think for any of us it was hard. I think we all wanted to work with Britney and we were motivated to give her something that was great that was going to help her project become a great project to come back with. We went in and sat down to create a record for the Britney Spears that we know and love." Court Hearing: Britney To Receive Increased Visitation 6th May 2008 For the first time since October, Britney Spears arrived in court regarding her on-going custody battle with ex-husband, Kevin Federline, resulting in an increase in the amount of visitation she can have with her two children, Jayden James and Sean Preston. According to reports, Britney left the court with her parents and attorney, smiling and happy, with Federline's lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, once again talking to the press, saying, Kevin's "goal is his children will have the benefit of two parents participating actively in their lives; we are pleased with the progress that seems to be occurring. I think the children are doing really great, and that is the key question." Allan Parachini, a representative for Jamie & Lynne Spears, said, "We are so pleased with Britney's progress and we are very appreciative of the courts recognition of this progress. There was a modification of the pre-existing custody order. There will be a progress report on 15th July, and another court hearing sometime in August." Britney Attends Alicia Keys Concert With Parents 5th May 2008 Jamie and Lynne Spears attended the Alicia Keys concert in LA last night, with Britney, ahead of an appearance in court tomorrow, where she will fight for custody of her two children, Sean Preston and Jayden James. Britney arrived at the Staples Center in the evening, with Lynne, her assistant, and two bodyguards; her father arrived separately, all three missing opening act, Ne-Yo, who wrote a song called "Impossible" for Britney, but staying for the entire Alicia Keys show. "Break The Ice" Falls To #21; "Blackout" Holds At #19 4th May 2008 "Break The Ice" falls to #21 from #17 in this week's UK singles chart, whilst "Piece Of Me" is still in the top 75, at #54 from last week's #47; in the official albums chart, "Blackout" holds steady in the top 20 at #19 for a second week. Britney Heads Home To Kentwood For Baby Shower 2nd May 2008 Britney has headed home to Kentwood, Louisana, for her sixteen year old sister, Jamie Lynn's, baby shower. The shower is being held at Serenity, the house Britney owns in the state, and where here mother, Lynne, spends a lot of time. Britney Shoots Second Appearance On "How I Met Your Mother" 29th April 2008 Britney was photographed arriving at the Fox Studios in Los Angeles today, to film her second guest appearance as Abby, the receptionist, on "How I Met Your Mother." The episode is due to take 2 days to cover, and will be entitled "Everything Must Go," airing in the USA on 12th May, featuring Britney's character teaming up with Barney, played by Neil Patrick Harris, to torment Ted, played by Josh Radnor, resulting in Barney popping the question to Abby for a shocking response. Britney Confirmed For "How I Met Your Mother" 28th April 2008 Britney Spears is officially confirmed for a second guest appearance in "How I Met Your Mother," reprising her role as Abby, the receptionist for Ted's dermatologist. The episode could air in the USA as soon as 12th May, with executive producer, Craig Thomas, saying, "We're all so thrilled to have Britney joining us once again." Production on the episode, which is said to involve Abby and Barney (played by Neil Patrick Harris) ganging up on Ted, reportedly started today. She headed off to a recording studio in the evening, accompanied by manager, Larry Rudolph, to reportedly 'tinker around' with Damon Elliott, who has recorded songs with P!nk and Jessica Simpson. Rumour: Britney To Be The Face Of Bally's Total Fitness 17th April 2008 Following reports in the past few days that Britney Spears is close to signing a deal to be the face of Bally's Total Fitness, further rumours have appeared today, stating that the endorsement deal could be going ahead, as Larry Rudolph is friends with John Wildman, the chief marketing officer at Bally's. Britney has been visiting the gym frequently over the past few days, working with their personal trainers and nutritionists; a spokesperson said they are just focused on her health at the moment. Britney Back With Larry Rudolph, Hitting The Gym & Recording Studio 16th April 2008 Britney Spears has been back in the recording studio with manager, Larry Rudolph, for the second day running; after having vocal coaching lessons in Tarzana and a workout session, Britney headed to the Glenwood place recording studio, following her visit to the MICID studios in Burbank yesterday. Larry Rudolph told "Us Weekly," "We went into the studio, but it was just for fun - nothing more. She wanted to go in and tinker around." A source told other media outlets, "She sat at the piano and got some ideas, playing and singing a bit. She wanted to go in to get her creativity going.
