| You decide who wins our fab Sugar Internship competition! | 425 giorni fa | ||
We’ve had loads of great entries in our competition to go behind the scenes at Sugar with a weeklong internship and now it’s your turn to decide who the winner is.Read the entries below and then vote on your favourite in the poll above! A. Kate Hi I'm Kate : ) I think someone with real model confidence is someone who's happy with who they are. I dont think it's about loving every bit of your body to the point of arrogance - I think it's more about liking yourself as a whole and realising that you have something to offer. To me someone who has model confidence is comfortable with themselves, and doesn't need to be perfect 24/7 to be happy. The people I look up to are not the ones who are completely looks orientated and who think that fashion is everything - but the smiling people who look amazing, just because they're happy, who like fashion but don't live through it. I know it's cheesy and everyone says it, but happiness is everything, and personally I reckon with it comes confidence B. Chloè I generally think that everbody has what it takes to be a model. Its not about being stick thin or having perfect cheek bones its about having the confidence and belief in yourself that you are beautiful. I think that the stereotypical model regime is just totally wrong and misleading because 99% of models are airbrushed making them look like someone they are not. I think that Ex model Tyra Banks really supports the idea that being a model is not all about being perfect. She is a good role model because she has a strong modeling talent but she is always making people feel good about themselves giving them a lot more confidence. She is a natural beauty and gives fuller figure women the chance to shine and i think that is something to admire. This competition caught my attention because i am really interested in the media and in the future would like to become a journalist and i think this would be an exciting a major opportunity x C. Millie I think that anybody that believes in themselves has model confidence, it's not about being the best dressed, or having the sweetest smile, anyone can do that, it's about knowing you can do anything and holding your head up high. There are people out there that have things they want to improve about themselves, but they still smile and get on with life and I believe that they have model confidence along with anyone that uses what they have to make the best out of themselves. Model confidence is all about having the power to believe, and anybody with that i'd say has model confidence. D. Indie Love Model confidence, is basically what Sugar tell you. They tel you to be who you are, feel comfortable in what you do + what you wear. It doesn't matter what other people think, it's all the personality that counts. I think I am model confident, model confident isn't about being skinny & gorgeous, it's more having self confidence, to pose in front of a camera like no one's watching, and just let your personality shine. I think it's great if someone who is not the most gorgeous person ever, and not the skinniest person, has model confidence, it means they can flaunt there stuff and not care about anyone else’s opinion. And I think that's what I have, I know there are gorgeous people out there, and I'm not that bad looking, i'm not too skinny either, but I'm not fat, but I believe in myself, that I can just flaunt what I have, and not care about anyone else + that's why I think I should be picked. I would love to intern at Sugar, as I hope to one day work for Sugar magazine. Thanks, x E. Rachel. Maybe I have a different interpretation of what 'model confidence' means, but seeing everyone suggesting which celebrities have 'model confidence' made me really think about how we choose our role models. Personally, I think that those most worthy of the recognition are those who overcome great difficulties in their lives, and build up their confidence again. I feel that women, or even men for that matter, who have been through life threatening ordeals, such as breast cancer, and come out of it strong, and then have the confidence to bring their self-esteem back and love their bodies, show them off even, are those with real confidence. I think this is the rarest and most beautiful type of confidence. Celebs are very fortunate in that they are born attractive and have make up artists to ensure they have everything to be confident about. Those who search deep inside themselves to find confidence and help restore it in others are those we should admire the most x And the two lucky winners of the under 15 category who will each receive GOODY BAGS are: Ellaa' Chick Hey therre x I think I have model confidence because for the last three years, a group of girls in my class have been making my life a misery. They would never hit me, or yell and scream at me, but it was bitchy comments, nudges and smirks. It might sound like nothing but it wore down on my self-esteem and when I looked in the mirror, all I could see was things they thought were wrong with me. And it wasn't like I could ever tell the teacher; what would I say, Those girls are smirking at me? I've just started a new school, and looking back, I don't know why I let those girl get away with being so nasty. I should have told someone anyone, because nobody should have to go through bullying alone. Now if any girl is being bitchy, or talking behind my back, I smile and look them in the eye, because I that I've been through the worst and I know they are only jealous. I have some lovely mates now, and every morning I get up, ready to take on the world. And, Oh So Original I think everyone has confidence to model. it doesn't matter if you're as slim as a rake or big or anything because you were made to be different. I believe there is a stage in life where everyone doesn't like the look of themselves but I know that they have confidence in themselves to model. Its not about wearing braces, or wearing glasses or being ashamed of something because one day that will be the new style. If you look at the celebs, they are not absolutely perfect. Not each and every one of them are size zero, did you know that Kylie Minogue wears glasses? She does but does she let that ruin her career? Paris Hilton used to wear braces, but she never cared. The important thing is to be happy with who you are. You will have something so else will wish they had because we are all different. Each and everyone of us has a unique style because its not the same as everyone else. Remember we all have the confidence to be a model because we are all unique and different. Mel x | |||
