 The last few days we have been out on the streets campaigning to get people to vote. I've been in the shopping mall, the strip shopping centres, the supermarkets and holding street corner meetings right across the city. It has been great to meet with so many people and to receive so much warm encouragment.One thing I have picked up is that young people are not voting. It is so important that they do vote. Out and about young people are telling me that the council does not listen to them and their ideas are taken on board. This cannot change unless you and your friends get out there and vote. We are a team that has shown ourselves to be interested in the views of young people and are committed to building a Christchurch where your views are listened to. We are standing a bunch of really impressive young (some of us youngish!!) candidates - find your voting papers and vote for them! | |||
