	Cancers were very shy kids and still tend to use a hard outer shell in defence against hurt from other people. They are very moody; happy one minute and grumpy or depressed the next. Their humour can be quite crazy and entertaining because Cancerians are good at making jokes based on observations of human nature. Cancers give great advice. They are really good at saying “everything will be alright” and have you believe it… but ironically, they, themselves are extremely difficult to soothe. Cancer is the most ‘batty’ sign and are prone to creating the mother of all scenes over nothing. They can bring on the waterworks over something as silly as their favourite chocolate biscuit being out of stock. But NEVER tell a Cancer to ‘lighten up’ because if there’s something worth making a scene over, they will do it spectacularly! The Cancer has no concept of keeping conversation light, amusing or vaguely interesting. They are quite capable of boring everyone to tears with their thoughts on a subject. The Cancerian’s worst enemy is self-pity. “Why me?” is a term they say often to themselves and along with that comes sulking…no, not just sulking, but POWER SULKING! Like cousin Taurus, Cancer is into ‘things’. Especially for their sentimental value, so they are prone to hoarding. Things like that concert ticket from 1993. Getting Cancer to throw something out is impossible. They think everything is bound to come in handy someday. THE CANCER FEMALE Is introspective and emotional. She is very motherly and uses her intuition more often than logic. She wants material comfort and security. She never does anything impulsively, is patient and often unconsciously manipulative. She is shy but very sexual. CANCER AT WORK Cancer takes work seriously and works hard. A Cancer is there to make money for their own security. They respond well to affectionate appreciation, but cannot handle criticism. Cancers are good steady, reliable workers. TYPICAL OCCUPATIONS Anything in the food industry is attractive to Cancerians. Baking, confectionary, catering or nutrition. Other jobs that attract Cancer are hotel or domestic work, animal breeding, horticulture, counseling, social services, nursing or anything to do with water… boats, fountains, fishing, baths, etc. CANCER & LOVE If you have the hots for a Cancer, you better make the first move, coz they probably won’t. They fear rejection. Cancers love to be loved. Be honest, give them constant affection and security, and you’re in! They can’t handle ridicule or criticism, so be sparing with that. Cancers are romantic and can become quite attatched. Their loved one comes first. If the love is gone, it’s very hard to break up with a Cancer. They will cling more tightly as a relationship deteriorates, making separation very difficult. If you are unfaithful, a Cancerian will become very jealous and may react aggressively because they hurt so much. CANCER NEGATIVE Possessive, easily hurt, moody/crabby, selfish, manipulative, introspective, overpowering. CANCER POSITIVE Shrewd and intuitive, kind, compassionate, domesticated, has a good memory, is helpful, caring and protective.
