	Will you give it to me? Sound crazy? I mean who would just hand over their password to a stranger? Turns out quite a few people when the reward is right. In 2003 a survey showed about 85% of people would give their password in exchange for a free pen. In 2008, that number had dropped to 21% – but the prize was “a chance to win a trip to Paris” . In 2007 65% were prepared to exchange their password for a chocolate bar. We know that a lot of people use the same password for pretty much anything they do online. Why dont people care about their passwords? Do people hand over their password because they don’t understand the importance of a password protecting information – or because they don’t really value the information passwords protect? We often assume people just don’t get how important passwords are – and that therefore we just need to educate them around that. Passwords are the keys etc etc. I’m not so sure. what do you think?
