 SKERRYVORE ARE VOTED ARGYLL'S TOP YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS!After a great trip to China, Skerryvore returned to Scotland to recieve some great news! The band have been named Argyll’s top young entrepreneurs at the regional finals of the 2009 Prince’s Scottish Youth Business Trust (PSYBT) ‘Young Entrepreneur of the Year’ Awards. Martin Gillespie, Daniel Gillespie, Alec Dalglish and Fraser West, founders of Skerryvore were announced as regional winners at a ceremony at the Council Chambers in Lochgilphead and presented with £1000 cash prize by the award sponsors, FirstPoint USA. The band will now be considered by the judging panel to be entered into the national final taking place at Glasgow’s City Chambers on Wednesday 18th November 2009. Six of the 18 regional winners are selected to compete for the coveted national title of PSYBT ‘Young Entrepreneur of the Year’ and the opportunity to win an additional £2000. Everyone at Skerryvore would like to say a massive thankyou to everyone for supporting the band during 2009 and especially to the PSYBT for their assistance over the past few years.
