Guitar Effects and Gear Used...1135 jours il y a

Every sound you hear in the "Solar Fire" video soundtrack is created on a guitar using a multi effects pedal, coupled with various unusual techniques. I never use keyboards, or samplers, sequencers, decks, or computers. Its all recorded direct, in single takes, and everything is always a basic mix down, so its not been over produced with added effects etc.

I use a Boss GT-8, and on the electric tracks i used my 1977 Fender Strat, sunburst with all gold hardware. I use a drum machine due to being unable to play a live drum kit in the house, the unit i use is a Zoom 123, and nothing is quantized, ever, its all played in one go onto the machines memory as if it were a real drummer playing the beat, then that is looped, i created all the beats and fills myself. I used a Yamaha RBX800A 4 string bass. The acoustic i use is a Washburn Cumberland Jumbo, 6 string cut away, with quilt maple back and sides, cedar top, abalone and pearl "tree of life" inlays and gold grover tuners. My other electric guitar is an Epiphone Flying V, which i have completely customized myself, stainless steel scratchplate with custom soundwaves design, all black hardware with grover tuners and roller bridge saddle, Seymour Duncan pickups, dimebag signature in the bridge, and an SH-9 in the neck position, each pickup has independant volume an tone pots and 3 way switching, i added super sound potentiometers, rereouted the jack to the inside edge of the base end of the v, then routed out more space for the extra wiring, each 3 way switch gives the option of series, split coils and parallel for creating different sounds, from humbucker to single coil with extra options in between, plus a phase reversal switch, and a kill switch. Its a beast.
