	If love is suppose to be “unconditional” But I have to “prove” I love you Then I’d rather keep my conditions and not be a hypocrite If love is suppose to last forever But you give up because you fall out of love I prefer to give up before I’m in love than cause hurt later because I’m not If love means “sacrifice” But only on my part Then I’ll sacrifice love itself If love means lying To keep from hurting me now Then I’ll be hurt now instead of letting you devastate me later If love is saying you care and want to know what’s wrong But you won’t listen when I try to explain why I need space Then I’ll keep it to myself so you don’t have to imagine what I’m going through If Love is accepting me just as I am But only when I act like someone I’m not Then just hate me instead for what I’m not If the phrase “I love you” Is just another expression that means nothing to you Then save your breath because I don’t think I can take “being in love”
