Hey

We're shooting the final episodes of LOL this coming weekend (1st/2nd August) and are looking for extras to appear in the school and park scenes.

If you're interested, over 16 and available to film on location in Manchester, send me a message on Bebo or email contact@lolseries.com

Cheers!

LOL PRODUCTION RUNNER'S BLOG

Another six months…and two more LOL webisodes done and dusted!

The second shoot was a lot more close-knit than the first - we had a smaller cast for starters and the whole thing was shot in actual locations as opposed to sets.

This time, my duties were pretty ad hoc. I got to have a read of several drafts of Ric’s scripts before we arrived at the shooting version, then went through it all to make a comprehensive list of all the props we needed. If the bottle of vodka the boys are carrying around in the car looks familiar, it’s the same one Keely and Jaz steal from Helen’s cupboard in an earlier episode!

Jaz’s pregnancy belly also proved to be problematic, as we weren’t able to get the fairly realistic-looking baby bump we used in the future scenes of the first few episodes - so this one is a small cushion secured with tape to Bryony’s top. (Between that, getting hit in the head by a wayward boom mike and temperatures near freezing on both nights of shooting, she was a really excellent sport!)

Another thing that threw us for a loop was Nicola’s hair - Keely is a platinum blonde, but Nic had coloured her hair brown since our last shoot, which isn’t great for continuity (even though she looked great). Fortunately, a hairdresser was able to get her back in character!

While the days were long (we worked well into the night on both Saturday and Sunday to get the job done - which made for an exhausting week for those of us who had to go back to our day jobs on Monday morning), it was great to get so many of the cast and crew back together and we really did have a fun time.
