AraPacis album cover contest268 Tage her

We are making a contest for our next album cover! Prizes will be determined later but include at least a copy of the album and your name in the credits! The topic for the album art contest is something you choose from the lyrics of "Consequences of Dreams" – please make sure your art is in dimensions big enough to make an album cover, I forget the specs but you can find them at several CD pressing companies I guess! Of course you’ll have to upload a smaller jpg to the contest forum!

To enter, join the forum at http://arapacis.forumotion.com
then post your entry at http://arapacis.forumotion.com/annou...

Thanks everybody and good luck!

Here are the lyrics:

Consequences of Dreams
(c) Jerry Fielden 2006 SOCAN

Promises silence made
Shade blade fade out
Validity of spaces
Parading hopeful faces

CHORUS 1:
A whit do they care
Flares in the sky
Portents of age
Unspoken silent rage

CHORUS 2:
Destiny shallow trench
Eyes locked lovers bench
Returning astral project builder
No overlord of primordial life

Rusty lever of power
Light flickers in the tower
A mind ponders actuality
The consequences of dreams

CHORUS 1 & 2
BRIDGE & LEAD BREAK
CHORUS 2

Grind crust flood
Crucible of blood
Gently in the wind
Liquid swaying slowly

CHORUS 2

Cheers and good luck!

Jerry :)

Shows shows shows!358 Tage her

Well we just did two shows that were quite different one from the other. We headlined at bar St-Laurent 2 on Nov 1 and played with 5 other bands on Dec. 6th at Saints Showbar.

Bar St-Laurent 2 was great, we really had a chance to stretch out and the sound was good. Pedro did a hell of a drum solo! We premiered a couple of new songs, Solitary Abode and Execution Zone, and they went quite well although Solitary was a bit fast hahaha! :D

As for Saints, well what can I say. I discovered 2 bands that I really enjoyed, Ashtray (well Lizzie has been a fan of them for a long time!) and Back on Earth (great prog band). The show began quite well with the first three songs going without a hitch, but because we had not had a soundcheck, it was very difficult to hear one another and we had to play some songs by instinct, especially the last two. One of my strings slipped on From the Dark and it was a real nightmare trying to sing, play and tune at the same time haha at a very busy moment in the song. L:izzie was awesome in Green Fairy, letting loose a really high note at the end! All in all an OK show but not the best we've done. Ah well, some shows just aren't as good as others, that's a fact of life, and of music. :)

And thanks to Shelle for the great pics of both shows! ;)

We are going to be going back in the studio and recording a couple more songs, and doing all the vocals as well, and then we will begin the process of mixing the album. We have some great outside ears coming to our help on this one. That should be real cool!

Anyway take care everybody and hope to see you at a show real soon! :D
