	We'd like to thank all the fans who voted for us to win, couldn't have done it without you aall! Message from Jamie: bohemian mods "Sail away" - listen on MySpace Jamie's Unsigned Band Winners 2008 The Unsigned Bands competition has to come to and end. It was really, really exciting and we had some brilliant bands and solo artists who entered the competition and the 5 that I chose I really think stood out and I would definitely pay to go and see them perform live. The winning band as voted by everyone on my website is Bohemian Mods! They are a great band. Well done, you have gotten a great response from the public and we had 1,000’s of people voting. The next step now is that the band will get to perform at a gig in London in front of the A and R Exec from Mercury Records. Keep checking back on the site as we will post up information and some video clips on how the band performs. Congratulations as well to Aquila’s Kiss, Dancing Lotus, John Carson and Stealing Signs, you guys did an amazing job as well to make it to the final 5. 	Ok, so from now on, every week us mods are going to be doing a blog so that you scrummy people can have a little bit of insight into our quite frankly magicccalll lives. We'll take turns doing them so that you get to know us a little bit more eaaach time - I (Benjamin Mod) am doing the first one.. jusssst so you know. We'll be talking lots about what's happening/happened, future gigs, our nights in/out/all about, and pretty much anything we think worth mentioning. So this week's been a bit crazy – we've confirmed gig dates all over the show including some quite interesting ones like headlining at Leadmill's red festival and getting a headline slot at plug but, of course, we always manage to get a bit of chillaxing in. This came in the form of a jolly BBQ knees up at chris' the other night. Of course the whole band was there plus Joe (band pal) and yoko (richard's wifey) – we ate cheesecake in the rain... and spooned a bit once Joe had gone Sam wanted quavers but there wasn't any and he doesn't like crunch corners as much as Chris does...so he went hungry. Strange boys they are!! The BBQ was after one of our regular band practices at our old school where we thought it would be clever to switch instruments and attempt to sound good, sing like hooligans, and scare little children with our faces. Somehow we still manage to make enough new material to keep things fresh – those who came to the boardwalk gig on Saturday will have witnessed this secret 'newww material' – because you are special and we love you. It was a good night made even better by those familiar and unfamiliar fans and faces so thankyouu for coming. We were also video'd, sound recorded, and photographed so the second we get the footage etc. We'll wack it up on here/facebook/the website and let you have an eyeful of it. What else what else? Oh a couple of weeks back we had a photo shoot at Rotherham market with our beautifully scary photographer Martin Cotton – you may have heard of him, he's in the papers for stealing the rubbers off the top of pencils all the time. If you see him in the street just give him the pencil, it's not worth losing your life over. But yes we went to the market and were photographed picking up fruit aaand then putting it back down, surprisingly hard - Martin: 'look at my hand, no not at my hand, look where my hand was... look past the camera... don't look at Richard... Chris, take Richard away he's fucking about... Chris, bring Richard back... stop smiling... look bored... look lost... look confused.' (Looking confused was the easiest to do trust me – it came naturally.) We're just waiting to get these off of Martin but once we have they'll be uploaded on to here.. just so you can see pic after pic of us perfecting that confused expression. Ohh we're going into 2fly recording studios at the end of this month which should be a nice change from us recording our songs by ourselves. This means hopefully we should have some spanking new songs ready for your eaaaaager ears quite soon that are all lovely and polished. But if you want to hear them before they're recorded all those days away, we suggest you come to our gigs and come say hello and come buy us a drink and come dance the night away and become our groupies... this is an offer to the girls mostly but we appreciate hotness regardless of gender soo........ Right well it's 3 o'clock now so i say this is enough info on us for the first blog, people can only handle us in small doses, or so we are told by our best friends - expendable friends we may add, so if you want to be our new best friends: 1. Come to evvveryyyy gig 2. Tell all your other friends about us 3. Buy Sam a pack of quavers, buy Chris a crunch corner (and a spoon, but not a metal one because shiny things get him too excited), tell Ben you LOVE his beard, and DON'T tickle Richard's belly.
