| FILTH with DAVE SPOON - The Ironworks - 14/11/2009 | 44 Tage her | |||
| Filth with Dave Spoon Date: Saturday 14th November 2009 Doors: 22:30 Ticket Price: £10.00 (over 18s) Producer Simon Neale has been playing with electronic music for years. Growing up listening to a mixture of synth-pop/early 90's House, and attending a secondary school that had an undiscovered TB303 and Juno 60 (covered in dust) in the music room cupboard, you could say production was inevitable! School assemblies were never quite the same with House and Breakbeat driven tunes pumping out of the main hall. Nowadays using his 'Dave Spoon' alias he's firmly established himself as one of the hottest DJ/producers the scene has to offer, releasing top quality productions with his trademark grinding basslines, and rocking dance floors across the globe with his twisted electro sound. Signing '21 st Century' to Toolroom Records in 2004 was the breaking point for Spoon, an instant success supported by the likes of Roger Sanchez, Steve Lawler, Pete Tong. On a roll the 'Sunrise EP' followed, and was instantly signed to Seamus Haji's Big Love imprint. With a lot of buzz and hype surrounding his releases the remixes poured in with re-works for the hottest underground labels including Stealth, Pool e/Cyber, Big Love, Toolroom and co-productions with Cr2's MYNC project. In 2006 keen to push musical boundaries and break new sounds Spoon released 'At Night' - an almighty dance floor killer with a seriously infectious bassline. Championed by the likes of Deep Dish, Tiesto, Paul Van Dyke the track caused a stir on the more discerning dance floors. With an added vocal in 2007 courtesy of Lisa Mafia the track crossed over as 'Bad Girl (At Night)', the biggest record of the Summer, earning Spoon his first top 40 hit. Having landed himself a show on Radio 1's 'In new DJ's we trust', and with studio projects underway writing his artist album, and working with the likes of Pete Tong it seems a string of new original material is soon to be heard on a sound system near you, and an era of success looms large for the Spoon. BIG UP! Tickets are on sale now at www.ironworksvenue.com or www.ticketmaster.co.uk | ||||

| ICA Awards | 220 Tage her | |||
| Well we went to the ICA awards yesterday to see how we got on with Filth's nominations for Best Club and Best Gig (Filth pres. Resolution NYE @ Ironworks)... We didn't win any of them (although that wasn't totally unexpected) but we're pleased with the results. Thanks to everyone who voted Filth!! Best Club: 1. Love2Love - 36% of the vote (no surprise there then!) 2. Filth - 35% of the vote I think the other results were: 3. Bakoo - 20% 4. Motion 5. Rags 1% away from Love... Nice one! How p*ssed off would they be if we'd beaten them! Can't remember the exact details but we came 3rd in best Gig after Fatboy Slim (1st) and Cage the Elephant (2nd). Maybe next year... | ||||

| New Filth Website - www.filthinverness.co.uk | 284 Tage her | |||
| The Filth Website has finally arrived... and this is only phase one!!! www.filthinverness.co.uk This is the first taste of what's to come. Over the next few weeks and months we'll be adding more and more to the site. There's a long list of stuff we want to get on here but features to be added first will most likely include a photo gallery and downloads section. In the meantime have a look at the Videos section where we have videos of previous Filth nights and of course the Events section that'll give you all you need to know about where and when you can get your next Filthy experience! If it's information on Filth or the Filth DJs you're after then the Biogs section is where you want to be and don't forget the News section which will have regular updates on everything that is Filth. Hope you like it! | ||||
