	Goreyskateclub are starting the summer SK8 Skool again. This is for either beginners wanting to learn how to skate or for skaters wanting to improve their skills on a skateboard. 	Yes, to start the summer off, Goreyskateclub in association with Wreckless Skate Shop are holding and Paddys day skateboarding competition. We will be particpating in the local Gorey parade first and then heading up to the skatepark for the comp. The parade starts from the monument at the top of the town (up past the hospital) at 3pm on 17th of March. We are meeting at 2.30pm on the Avenue beside the new civic centre development (large wreckless sign in front garden). We would ask that all and any skateboarders and inline skaters from Gorey or visiting come with us in the parade. The more the merrier. If you do, you have free entry to the competiotion in the skatepark. Simple as that. If you dont, a €5 entrance fee must be paid. The funds raised are for GSC to help get an extension onto the skatepark. Prizes are being given by Wreckless. We hope to have a bit of music, a bit of craic, a game of skate or possibly a street skate comp etc. different age groups so everyone has a chance and a prize for best dressed also.

	The bus will be leaving Gorey at 10am from the showgrounds side of the Town park (fort road). the car park in front of Teagasc building. Be there at 9.45am please. We will be leaving at about 4.30pm and home in Gorey about 6pm. All coming on the trip are asked to bring a packed lunch. Keep an eye on RTE Sunday mornings at 10am to see the programme, TOAST

	Goreyskateclub have been invited to play on a new gameshow this Autumn T.O.A.S.T. is a brand new game show for the autumn on RTÉ TWO. It involves pitting 2 teams of 3 against one another in a series of games that test you both physically and mentally with a big emphasis on fun throughout. The teams will compete under a banner which highlights an activity that they all take part in on a regular basis, so it could be …….GOSPEL v DRUMMERS, HOCKEY V HURLING, CIRCUS V GYMNAST…..EVEN KNITTERS VERSUS BAKERS!!! The team members are aged between 10-14 and each have an audience of supporters that get involved in the games. This audience will also have some older members of the club, a parent or guardian that could also be called on to participate. We are going up on Saturday 4th Octobe rto record our show, who ever we meet is gonna get an asswhoopen!!! Bring it on

	07/07/2008 Update for times Beginners day is Wednesday mornings from 10am to 11.30 am in goreytownpark. the flat area beside the playground Intermediate skaters are on Saturday morning in the skatepark again from 10am to 11.30 am. Please bring along all your equipment and safety gear. If its wet, there will be no classes.

	details are now available: Starting this summer is the new Sk8 Skool. This is for either beginners wanting to learn to skate and skaters wanting to improve their skills on a skateboard. We will also be organising some inline hockey too. The Sk8 Skool will run over 6 weeks and will have everything from skate lessons in small groups, advice, tricks + tips, maintenance for your board, mini competitions, filming and photography and much more. We will be taking two different age groups for the skateboard lessons, 5-10 years and 11-16 years. Places will be limited so please join early to avoid disappointment. Equipment will be provided by the skateclub or you can bring along your own. The beginners classes will be held in Gorey Community School and intermediate classes in the skatepark. Please fill in this simple Sk8 Skool application form and return it to either Angela Evans c/o Halfords Hair Studio or Grant Masterson c/o Wreckless.
