| Plans for this year’s Relentless Wakestock 2009 are really hotting up as the weeks pass, in particular the latest additions to the line-up which we can exclusively announce to you as follows: N*E*R*D the internationally renowned hip hop band fronted by Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo will be headlining the new Relentless Wakestock open air stage in 2009 with hits such as “She Wants to Move” and “Maybe,” to look forward to. DIZZEE RASCAL the London rapper and music producer is our third open air stage headliner. He’s got a whole host of big hits including ‘Fix up look sharp’ ‘Flex’ ‘Old Skool’ and ‘Dance Wiv Me’ his number one collaboration with Calvin Harris. Of course ‘Bonkers’ will soon be added to this list! CALVIN HARRIS will return to the Wakestock stage again this year. His album “I Created Disco” was huge in 2008 and his new single “I’m Not Alone” is never off the radio and is set for the top spot in the charts. Welsh legends SUPER FURRY ANIMALS are the band many will be looking out for. A generation has grown up with this band who will travel to their homeland to celebrate with us. These are just a few of the amazing acts confirmed for this year, but there are loads more new additions including JUST JACK, PIGEON DETECTIVES, NOISETTES, TINCHY STRYDER, KISSY SELL OUT, THE JOY FORMIDABLE, GOLDIE, LONDON ELEKTRICITY, DJ FORMAT, EBONY BONES, plus a few more from closer to home including MARINA AND THE DIAMONDS, SIBRYDION, DIRTY GOODS and RUTH KEALY They will join the rest of the line-up, which include dance headliner MOBY, THE ZUTONS, CHICANE, CHASE AND STATUS FT PLAN B, TAKURA & RAGE, RED LIGHT COMPANY and many more. Storm is known for trend setting models that have intelligence, style and unexpected beauty, representing models such as Kate Moss, Lily Cole, Jourdan Dunn, Poppy Delevigne, Sam Branson, Emma Watson, Kimberly Stewart and Paolo Nutini to name a few. As most of you know by now, Relentless Wakestock 2009 celebrates its 10th birthday this year in July and to kick off the celebrations the organisers have just announced that the RED ARROWS RAF display team are confirmed to put on a full show on the Friday (10th July) afternoon at 3:30pm directly over the main stage at the festival in Penrhos. The Red Arrows are renowned throughout the world for their spectacular aerial displays and their full 9 plane formation will be focusing their 24 minute show directly above the new bigger open air stage at the festival, immediately after a very special guest DJ who is opening the festival with a 90 minute set from 2pm. It’s a brilliant way to start the celebrations and if you have tickets then well worth getting there early for!!! | ||||

| More great artists announced for Wakestock 2009 We have more new and exciting artists to add to the original first acts announced... Leeds rock band festival favourite THE PIGEON DETECTIVES will be joinging wakestocks 10th birthday celebrations with their great singles such as 'Take Her Back' and 'Emergency.' Best knwon for his very popular single 'Starz in their eyes' JUST JACK will be there to DJ performe his unique sound of belding pop,dance hip-hop and samples into one. Two more drum and bass acts are announced in the form of GOLDIE and LONDON ELEKTRICITY who will be joined by MC WREC known as one of Britians most exciting new artists. We are also pround to announce one of the countrys best hip-hop DJ's taking influence from the 19080's and 1990's hip hop scene DJ FORMAT. His album 'if you can't beat 'em...join 'em' was within the top 100 albums of 2005. We are proud to say that we have managed to get one of the most requested artists from previous years to play a live full live set CHICANE. KISSY SELL OUT one of the hottest club DJ around at the moment will be joining the 2009 wakestock bill and will be playing an electic set with his band on one of the main stages. THE JOY FORMIDABLE who have bben liken to Pixies and the Yeah Yeah Yeah's will also be joining us and returining for the 10th anniversary celebrations is THE CUBAN BROTHERS who are Wakestock favourite and also know how to entertain a crowd! | FIRST ACTS ANNOUNCED The time has come to make our first announcements on acts that will be playing at Relentless Wakestock 2009. We thought to ease you in to the mass of awesome bands & DJs who will join our 10th birthday celebrations, we would announce 4 this week and the other 60 or so over the next month..... .. ...... The following acts are all playing live, starting with our first headliner MOBY, with album sales well over the 20 million mark and songs like ‘Go’, ‘Porcelain’ and ‘We are all made of Stars’ amongst many others. Moby’s legendary live performances make him one of the world’s favourite festival artists. THE ZUTONS were one the first bands we asked to be part of our 10th anniversary and will return to Abersoch for the second time after packing out our main arena in 2006. Their song ‘Valerie’ is now legendary and ‘Why won’t you give me your Love’ another top 10 single, both feature in their extensive festival set list. .... On the D&B side, we are proud to announce CHASE & STATUS (http://www.myspace.com/chaseandstatus) featuring PLAN B, TAKURA & RAGE. These guys are on the rapid rise to stardom. Tracks that have featured heavily on Radio 1 & music channels are ‘Pieces’ and their latest ‘Against all Odds’. .... Our final announcement is a band that are going to be big by July, fact!
