This Monday coming: Really excited about this one, got two new guest DJs down to play for us aswell as two guys doing a B2B disco set, whoop!

Monday 22nd: Our wee Mulled wine and Mince Pie Christmas Party! Nice way to start the christmas week, don't you think?

There'll be a wee change to the normal Soapbox set up. Basically the DJs we have down won't be pre-organised. We would love it if everyone who is coming down to brought a few CDs with enough music to play at least 6 songs in a mini set.


The one stipulation is that each song must be christmas related in some way or another and the song choice has to be backed up with a festive reason! This can be as obvious of vague as you want!

for instance, there could me a mention of turkey/december/snow/ in the song somewhere, or a sample from a chrismas song, but it doesn't necessarily have to be a 'christmas song' per se! Although it would be nice to have some in-your-face christmas songs aswell just to get us in the mood

it'll work on a first come first served basis, come down and give either me sooz or mike your name and we'll fit as many people in as we can

as usual it's free, selected bottles are £2 in and there may be some mistletoe if you wanna force someone into kissing you....

Is happening on the 22nd of December!

Letting you know about it now as it'll give you some time to think about what you wanna play.

How about YOU giving it a go?

The Soapbox has moved!! Every Monday night in Stiff Kitten Blue Bar from 10th November

The whole idea is that we let people get on their musical soapbox! We get three people to make a few CDs of their favourite songs, we teach them how to operate the CD or vinyl decks and let them play their music for 45minutes.


No mixing or anything, just good tunes, and we are currently looking for people to fill three slots every Monday!

Just letting you know that The Soapbox is no longer in the Roost and we'll be making our new home in the Blue Bar of Stiff Kitten every Monday night starting 10th of November.
Exciting!

Going to be even better than before, it's still free in with free food and drinks promos which all makes for a cheap night out!

In the meantime, The Soapbox crew will be playing some tunes in the Queens Uni students union this wednesday, ie. tomrrow, ie the 22nd
