(Stockholm, SWEDEN) - Swedish black metallers DARK FUNERAL, the Ineffable Kings of Darkness, and one of the biggest bands today has finalized more details on their upcoming album. They are finally ready to reveal the full track listing of their brand new album, "ANGELUS EXURO PRO ETERNUS"!!! The new masterpiece, which is set for a November 18th 2009 release via Regain Records, was recorded at Abyss Studio in Grangärde (Sweden) with famed engineer and legendary producer Peter Tägtgren (Pain, Hypocrisy). It includes a total of 9 songs. Musically it is the bands most technical and varied album to date. And while still being true to their roots, they have taken a great step forward in the evolution of their brand of fine Swedish black metal. “ANGELUS EXURO PRO ETERNUS” is, from the very beginning to the end, a hell ride you simply don’t want to miss! 	DARK FUNERAL - NEW ALBUM TITLE ANNOUNCED!!! [AUG 31, 2009] Ave everyone! Peter Tagtgren is currently mixing our new album at his Abyss Studios. Once we have approved the final mix, Jonas Kjellgren [Scar Symmetry] will be mastering it. By listening to the rough-mix, the final production will kill totally, no doubt! Can’t wait to blast the final result in the stereo! We decided to go for a bit rawer sound this time, and not as crystal clear and perhaps polished as our last album [Attera Totus Sanctus ©2005], but no worries. The production still holds the high quality that you would come to expect from us. We haven’t done “a Metallica” so to say! During the last weekend we spent at the Abyss Studio we recorded a video for one of the new tracks. The video was shot in and outside an old and closed mental hospital. The environment was just killer. And besides, it suited the video theme perfect! The video is currently under editing by “Standard Film Team”. And within the next 2-3 weeks it should be ready for world premiere. 	DARK FUNERAL: STUDIO UPDATE 2 [Aug 20th]	98 Tage her
	Ave everyone! While E.M Caligula has been busy in the studio this week, writing and recording the vocals for the new album. The rest of us have had a well-deserved break, and spent some time at home with family and friends. Tomorrow (Friday Aug 21) the whole band will meet up again at the Abyss studio. And to begin with, we will shoot a video for one of the new tracks! We have found some really sick and suitable locations in the area around the Studio. So, besides working on the final stuff for the new record, we will shoot a video between Friday and Sunday. And by the time we are done with the video-shoot, we should, hopefully, be ready to begin with the final mix and mastering of our new, yet untitled, Masterpiece! During the coming weekend we will also be visited by international journalists and the mighty Tattoo artist Carlos Aguilar (Black Shadows Tattoo and Magazine). 	STUDIO UPDATE 1 [Aug 17th]	100 Tage her
	Ave Everyone! It’s been a really tuff and hectic schedule for us during the past couple of weeks, but I shall not complain. It actually feels amazingly good to be super busy again with the band, and especially spending time in the studio recording a new album. On the weekends we have played festivals around Europe. It’s been a blast indeed! And on the weekdays we have, and are still, located at the Abyss Studio, recording what surly will become yet another masterpiece, no doubt! I must admit that while I/we have been writing for this album my personal impression has been that the material is somewhat slower, not as technical etc compared to our previous albums. And I actually thought it would become like a 50/50 split with fast and non blastbeat songs. I couldn’t have been more wrong. Bpm-wise we have, in all honestly, toned it down a bit compared to it precursor, but now, when all the music is recorded, my impressions have changed drastically. This is for sure our most intense and technical album to date. It is also our most varied album. And each song surly offers its own unique and personal touch. Dominator, our new drummer, offers the most amazing drum-work ever on a Dark Funeral record. And whether you like our kind of music or not, I’m absolutely sure that you will be totally stunned when you hear what this beast can, and do behind the kit. Now, how about hooking up Mr Dominator with some drum endorsement? Tama drums have been kind enough to endorse him and us during the studio session, and it’s of course highly appreciated. But this guy surly deserves full drum endorsements without a doubt! Let the bidding war begin… At this very moment E.M Caligula is working on the vocals. Unfortunately I can’t tell much about that just yet, but for what I know he will put on his best and most varied vocal performance ever. And I’m as curious as all of you to hear the final result. I’m however totally confident that he’ll blow us all away! 	DARK FUNERAL TO ENTER THE STUDIO...	177 Tage her
	Ave everyone! Finally. We have a date set for our studio session! On July 10 (yezz, the day after we play the Rockweekend Festival in Kilafors, Sweden) we will enter Abyss Studio together with Peter Tagtgren to begin the recording of our new, yet untitled, full-length album. At this point of time we have demoed 7 new and totally amazing (of course) songs and we got an 8th almost done. Besides that, we have quite a lot of additional material written that we hopefully will be able to turn into a killer track or two before our studio time runs out. As I previous mentioned, the new album will definitely be our most varied album thus far, perhaps a little bit toned down compared to its precursor, but still carry on with the same spirit and strength as always. This time we will offer more than one non blast beat (means heavy song) too. And some of the material will probably come as a surprise, as it’s not all typical Dark Funeral style, which I personally find very inspiring. And I can’t wait to nail this new album once and for all. Once we begin to work at the Abyss Studio we will keep you updated on regular basis, that includes video reports too. 	Songwriting update !!!	254 Tage her
	Ave everyone! Though it was about time to let you know what’s going on... Chaq Mol and I are still hard at work on a pre-production for the new full-length album at my (yet unnamed) home studio. The song-writing process are moving along just fine, perhaps not as fast as I could hope, but new and killer songs are at finally beginning to take some real shape. And it all sounds totally fucking KILLER (of course!). At this point we have the core for 6 songs completed, and another 2 under progress. So far I haven’t really got a more in depth or an overall picture of what we have written other than that it all sounds DARK FUNERAL in the flesh, but with more groove and variety then before. I have also a feeling that we have brought back a bit more of our melodic side aka “Diabolis Interium” era, which was something I initially wanted for this album. Beside the ûber melancholic Russian funeral symphony I told you about earlier, we will offer you a couple of more heavy songs this time around. And with that said, I think this may become our most varied album thus far. No exact date has been set when we will enter the Abyss Studio, but as soon as it’s nailed in stone we’ll let you know of course. I would also like to take this opportunity too to thank all of you who have written to me in response to a name for my home studio. Honestly, I didn’t really expect any response to that at all, but apparently I was dead wrong. Damn, I’ve been overwhelmed with suggestions, some totally killer, while others, hmm, well, not so good…but I totally appreciate them all anyway. 	Ave everyone! I’m sorry for the long silence since the last update. Due to various reasons we were forced to halt the pre-production we begun working on in the studio some months ago. Chaq Mol and I have however continued to write and trying out new material, but instead of doing it in the studio, with a producer, we have been demoing new stuff in my very own home studio (damn, I need a name for it….any suggestions?). Anyway, things have been going rather slow but definitely steady forward. At this point I have totally lost track on how many new songs we have completed or even have under progress, but that’s not really of any importance right now I think. We’ll just continue to write until it’s time to enter the studio. And once we are there, we’ll just begin the session by going through everything from scratch, do the final adjustments etc before it’s time to nail the songs for good. When talking about the studio. There’s been some change of producer as well as where we are going to record the new album. We have decided to once again work with Peter Tagtgren at his Abyss Studio. I must say that I didn’t really see this coming, but honestly, I am really looking forward to work with Peter again, and so are the other guys. It´s has been some 8 years or so since we last worked together with Peter and recorded our “Diabolis Interium” album. So it’s sure about time to once again summon the demons that dwells deep within the Pärlby forest. I’m not sure on the exact date we’ll head up there, but sometime late May I believe. As soon as I know more I’ll let you know. Chaq Mol and I have re-signed our endorsement deal with BC Rich guitars. Both of us have decided to continue to play their NT Warlock, which totally rules if you ask me. And considering the fact that I have been playing BC Rich Warlock (various models) for nearly 20 years now, it should say quite a lot about my feel for their killer guitars. B-Force has signed an endorsement deal with EMG Pickups. He will however make his own statement on his new gear etc so I’ll leave that part to him. We have also decided to do a few selected shows before the new album comes out.
