The latest album from Swedish/Texan doom legends CANDLEMASS has made its way to North America! Death Magic Doom is the follow-up to last year's massive Lucifer Rising EP and 2nd full-length album King of the Grey Islands. | CANDLEMASS are an epic doom metal band from Sweden who have been hugely influential in the doom metal scene since their start in the early 1980's. 1986's Epicus Doomicus Metallicus birthed a new genre basically overnight and their far-reaching impact and legendary status has failed to wane ever since. | Swedish doom metal merchants, CANDLEMASS, are preparing to embark on what is sure to be one of the biggest events in metal in 2008... their first US tour in 17 years! This is will also mark the bands first time performing in the States with vocalist and Texas native Robert Lowe, also of SOLITUDE AETURNUS fame. Bassist and founding member Leif Edling could barley contain his excitment when asked about finally returning to North America: ”Last time we were over was in 1991 and that’s way too long! We wanna make this tour a very special event for all our fans in the States and all new American fans of doom and metal too.
