6. Russia is about the oil crisis. Think about it.
7. We nearly released a funk album. Instead we gave it to the time. We've regretted it since.
8. We are having a party if we ever reach 100 fans on the beebz. It will be epic.
9. Proud Deering are involved in a long standing feud with Loose Women. We just felt the Joan Rivers moment was unacceptable.

Road to V is a little annoying before I start.

We currently have another supply of demo disks and we will be handing them out on a first come, first served bases (two of which have already gone). If you do want a demo disk then leave a comment on the bebo page.

So we don’t know where we all really lie at the minute? well then, it's 2009 and we have been a band for a year.

but what is the purpose of the deer in '09? See when we formed things were very different, the world was a more sinister place; knights were dark, soulja boi was at the height of his prowess and there was a recession happening or something.

But that was 2008. And as we all know as soon as Obama sets foot in the Oval office all the world's problems will be solved instantly. I mean what will we write about if there's no conflict? We're clearly an overtly political band, like U2, Billy Bragg or The Clash before us.. listen to Calling Home again, it's actually about Colan Belshaw being fat.

We're gonna have to start writing about other things... or rapping.

We're playing The Magnet Centre in Newry on the 21st of November with Darwy and Escape Act. Come see us so far out of comfort zone that we'll be shivering, sweaty blobs unable to make chord shapes, let alone look up at any point.

We're also playing a private function at a secret location on Saturday. (By 'secret' I mean, everyone who reads this will probably be attending and thinks I'm silly.)

It's like a real band or something... Well....

Since the demos were released it's clear that we have been reveling in excesses, like we were before, only now it's a little more justifiable. Drugs, strippers, hanging with Nick Grimshaw, we're living the life.

I've spent my portion of the deering fortune equipping my voice with a reverb box, it's a chip in my esophagus that makes my voice unbelievably echoey. It's every boy's dream.

Parky has married 3 women. Simultaneously. He currently live in Utah and tells me that polygamy is "not what you would expect really."

Luke is working on a cartoon series about raccoons called 'Thefty and Thrifty", a 32 episode series has been ordered.

Dave is hanging out with P Diddy and making bands for mtv. He has cut off contact with the rest of us.

Exciting news Proud Deering fans...

We will be heading into Big Space Studios (in Newry, the centre of... the greater Down area) to record fan favourites 'Always Put On a Good Show' and 'Russia'. APOAGS because it rocks the party and Russia because it kills the buzz automatically.

Now, for this I personally have taken a hit, as we are recording over the weekend... the chances of me catching 'Strictly Come Dancing' live are slim folks... and without turning this into an ad for Sky+, well thank goodness it's there.

We will keep you posted throughout the recording process, intense fights, quotes like "No! No! Forget this! Proud Deering IS reverb!", lots of inner torment and of course lighter Deering moments, perhaps ones featuring Parky with a bubble machine, who knows what goes on in Newry?

But what does this mean for you, the people who brought us here? Well I'll tell you, we all know that Proud Deering are good. Couldn't we be great? I think so. You don't but what do you know, you're just some schmuck who probably drinks too much.

After the storming success of The Unreleased Deering (8 whole downloads and counting!) here is our next online exclusive venture...

"Pawnography" Yep, chess pieces getting biz-ay. You can already feel the room getting hotter.

I'm joking of course, we didn't come up with Pawnography, it's already a thriving business in Eastern Europe. What I'm here to tell you about is the "I Still Love You Regardless EP" featuring two fan favourites that are no longer on the beebz but we still want you to have, listen to and least importantly love. While these songs are very dear to our hearts they will not be on the much fabled, increasingly Chinese Democracy-esque debut Proud Deering EP so go nuts.
