Hi there - My husband (who is at Waitaki Boys in Oamaru) and I are putting together an Asia trip next year in June/July for some boys at the school. The trip is a about exposing the boys to how the other half of the world and introducing them to other cultures and religions, as well as doing some of the normal tourist things with some fun slapped in here and there. Our trip goes to Beijing, Hong Kong, Bangkok and Singapore. While we are in Bangkok we will be going to a ladyboy show – a must!!! This is where you come in. We have to do some extensive fundraising and I am wanting to put on a professional drag show for an evening in December where we will serve traditional Thai food for the first part of the evening, and then proceed to the auditorium where we will watch a show. I am looking for people who are capable of putting on a good show.

Do you know of anyone or group of people who could do this for me.

Wellington, New Zealand – Mates & Lovers, written and directed by Ronald Trifero Nelson (Bud, Corner 4 AM & Cuba), is based on the 2009 Montana New Zealand Book Award winner Mates & Lovers, A History of Gay New Zealand by Chris Brickell, with special arrangement with Random House New Zealand.



Ronald Trifero Nelson is now in his second year of a Masters degree in directing at Victoria University of Wellington and Toi Whakaari: NZ Drama School

In this captivating performance, actors Kent Seaman and Sam McLeod add flesh and blood to dozens of untold true stories of our brothers, fathers, uncles and sons throughout 300 years of New Zealand gay history.



FAANZ welcomes back choreographer John Butterfileld from San Francisco to the BATS stage.

Mates & Lovers includes the stories of individual men – their trials, tribulations and sheer determination to make their way in a sometimes unsympathetic society. It will translate into compelling theatre. Ronald Trifero Nelson is skilled at capturing the essence of human situations and emotions and projecting them onto the stage, and I know he’ll do a fabulous job with the book’s life stories. I can’t wait to see the show!

Trans Workshops at Canterbury Museum 28 July and 18 August

In January 2008 the Human Rights Commission published To Be Who I Am: Kia noho au ki tōku anō ao, the final report of our Inquiry into discrimination experienced by transgender people (www.hrc.co.nz/transgenderinquiry). Over the last year we have been running a public education programme alongside the Assume Nothing exhibition which is now at the Canterbury Museum.



The Human Rights Commission is running 3 free workshops on Tuesday 28 July and Tuesday 18 August in partnership with local trans people and the Museum. These are:

· Trans 101 - come along to hear from a diverse range of trans people and to ask questions

· Young and Trans – how to create schools, youth groups and health services that are positive, inclusive and safe for trans youth and

· Trans Vocal – the power of using creativity to express gender identity and build a sense of community

Well the CPSA president is up to his old tricks again,
can't handle a strong minded woman getting in his way!
Well the gist of it goes, we don't get along, (he's pro sully ave and fuck ova city campus style) im pro students woo hoo!!!!
So he's trying to find any lil way to get rid of me and his other apponent Tracey Cox! (the 2 strong minded individual women in the executive council!) well so is Delaney but ah she is also his puppet!
So he's concocted a story to try and force us to resign! so is your a cpit student then come along to the debate this Wed 12:10pm at Sullivain Ave campus in the student lounge and give him whats for!
Join in the crusade!!!!! Ensure PolyQ have a stand in the student world next year!

hey guys heap going on this week with it being pride week!
The movie "Through rainbow coloured glasses" is now officially on sale, and theer is heaps going on in the bid wide canterbury with pride week, yesterday theer was "Family Day" unfortunately me n my tribe didn't manage to make it down! Hope it was a good one. CPSA and PolyQ are giving away fruity items and will be doing a bbq down at sully Ave on Weds so keep ya eyes out for us!

Due to the lack of interest there is no joining fee this year! but also due to this any costs for get togethers will need to be consumed by the user, and anyone wanting a t-shirt will need to purchase this! But if you want to be apart of polyq, you can text me and i will load up onto the phone and then keep you posted with any new events coming up. Also to try and cover the costs of keeping the cellphone up and running i willl be hitting up the executive council of the cpsa yup yup

Hey guys pride week is coming up and part of the perks of being on the cpsa board (vice president) is having input into the budget at which i managed to secure some funds from pride week. so we have a budget for the marketing manager to play with and we are going with the theme fruity this year! hopefully i don't offend anyway but if i do oh to bad! get over it lol, i have to pur up with being a lemon as aucklanders like to state lol but anyhow! sio yup we'll have a band and giving out fuity things throughout the week consisting of different aspects like actual fruit, fruit burst, fruit lollies etc so keep ya eyes open!
