| TrashPit Records is very proud to announce the UK release of the debut album from ACEY SLADE & THE DARK PARTY scheduled for January 2010 through Cargo Distribution. New York based musician ACEY SLADE (Murderdolls / Dope / Trashlight Vision) is set to unleash upon the world his new full length solo / band project - THE DARK PARTY. Cleverly bringing together and stretching boundaries between both Rock and Electronic genres, Slade and his new band have produced a collection of songs that are both sonically and emotionally exciting, enabling him to smash open the doors to another blistering musical chapter in his already colourful career. Produced by English Drum and Bass producer Shaun Morris (DJ Stakka), this is without a doubt the singers most reflective and daring piece of work yet and one that will see him challenge himself from here forward. "The idea behind being a 'solo artist' is that I can change direction from album to album and that's what I intend to do! Each album should be bit different from the next." In today's download friendly world, TrashPit Records were keen to hold onto excitement and pride of releasing the new album in physical format and create the full album experience! Acey quickly agrees, "This is for people who still believe that music is important enough to search out and take time to appreciate listening to. You don't get the same 'intimacy' from hearing a song on a MySpace page as you do from going to a store and buying it. When you go through the process of buying the physical CD and have all the art work, you invest in a friendship with both the band and the music." With a combined total of album sales already over One Million units (not including Downloads and DVD's) from his past bands, and Harmonix Music, the makers of the video game Rock Band 2 modelling two of their characters after Acey's high energy live performance, the release of 'THE DARK PARTY' is sure to allow ACEY SLADE and his band even more exposure as one of the underground rock scene's most unrivalled, passionate and outright exciting talents! The band featuring Tory Stoffregen (Enuff Z'Nuff / Bulletboys), Randi Scott (Enuff Z'Nuff / Supermint) and Rob Lane (BulletBoys / Teenage Casket Company) are on one hand good old fashioned American rock 'n rollers with an abundant serving of unshakable hooks, remarkably contagious choruses and soaring harmonies. But dig a little deeper and the Chicago based trio’s sound is simultaneously loaded with alternative rock elements of today. It’s a carefully crafted brew that’s been consistently refined on the road and chiseled across tour dates supporting a wide swath of influential artists as diverse as the Goo Goo Dolls, Cheap Trick and David Lee Roth (just prior to his highly anticipated reunion with Van Halen). The Nottingham Power Pop Rock quartet will be playing a series of shows running up to their hometown return in Nottingham at this year's TrashStock Festival alongside Ginger from The Wildhearts. Since 2004 the band became one of the busiest acts on the UK Rock Scene releasing their debut CD 'Dial It Up', on TrashPit Records, to endless positive reviews and earning it the title of 'Independent Album of the Year' by Powerplay Magazine. The band followed this up with their CD 'Eat Your Heart Out' in 2006 which saw them play all over the USA, Ireland and Europe. After three years of solid touring the band was put on hold whilst each member took on numerous projects seeing them perform with the likes of THE BULLETBOYS, THE DANGERFIELDS and SINS OF AMERICA. This Summer will see the full line up return for a trio of highly anticipated live shows culminating in their appearance at TrashStock - the festival they headlined back in 2005.
