| Hi folks... It's getting to that time again when we're trying to get stuff sorted for the Youth Weekend Away in February... Just so you know the dates to put in your diary NOW we will be going away on the weekend of the 26-28th February 2010... and this year we have a NEW venue!!!! *grins* - more details will come out about that in the near future... However, we have a coffee morning to raise funds for it on the 12th of September. We do this so that we can make it so that you folks who want to come won't have to pay the full amount... just eases the purse strings a bit =) So.... as always we're having a couple of prep nights before the coffee morning - both at Linda's flat (ask me if you don't know where that is) 'n basically we use this time to sort stuff out for the coffee morning (i.e. who's doing what) 'n make some stuff if this is required. So our prep nights are going to be at 7:30pm on: Wed 2nd Sept Wed 9th Sept. So please come along if you can... even if you can't make the prep nights but would like to be involved in the coffee morning etc then just let me know =) It would be good if all the folks who are planning to come to the weekend away would be available to help at this event if they can... =) Tah XD | ||||

| SO as you probs know Iain is retiring at the end of the month 'n we have a leaving do for him on the 29th... and the youth are doing stuff for it... So if you already have a ticket for the event (if you've not then you've probs missed out by now sorry coz they were going really fast!) | Hi folks.... Some of us at Kenmure are intending to meet up for a few days at the beginning of the summer for some bible study... I'm not sure what we'll be studying yet, but this is the plan... Monday 29th June - Friday 3rd July. Starts @ 10am each day Breakfast provided if ya want... You don't HAVE to be there every day (although that may help for continuity) you can come and go if you'd prefer... Would be gd to know in advance if you're intending to come at any point so i know how much breakfast stuffs to have... XD laters... | ||||

| Hi folks - just to let you know that Chris M has decided to get baptised and join the church. Because he has asked to get baptised by full immersion rather than sprinkly this requires a tank, and so Bishopbriggs Community church have been kind enough to allow us to use their tank. Therefore, the baptism won't take place during a normal Kenmure Service. Instead it is taking place on the evening of 2nd June 2009 at 7pm at the Community Church... It will be a short service, but promises to be a God-Filled and blessed evening. I'm hoping that as many young people as possible will make the effort to come along, especially now that the organisations are no longer operating. FYI the youth band will also be leading the worship during the service. This doesn't happen very often, and it's certainly a first since i've been around, so please do come along =) | ||||

| Yeh, so i meant say to y'all on Sunday... I'm off at yet another training course this weekend... which means i won't be at Boys Brigade on Friday or Bible Class on Sunday morning... I may appear at Anathallo, but that depends on what time i get back, i've yet to get the full details through from the training provider. I mention Boys Brigade because some guys still haven't returned their sponsor money which was due last sunday. So yes... don't expect me to be there on Friday coz i won't be. However i'm coming to your BB rehearsal on Monday the 4th, so if you need to see me you can see me then, otherwise give it to Jimmy and he'll see me then =) Linda x | ||||

| Below is the Psalms that we wrote at Anathallo a few weeks ago. A real cry out to God... if you've never tried it before - you should... its easier than you think =) O God, You made the earth in its outstanding beauty. You made the plants and trees, and the birds that rest in them. You made the rivers and seas and oceans and filled them with life. You made the fields and mountains and all that lives in them. Lord, you are our Great Creator. You made us all in Your image, and so make us all beautiful. Creator God, thank You for this wonderful earth Thank You for all that you have given us. Thank You that we can worship You for all that we see of You in nature around us. Thank You God that You are our beautiful Creator and thank You for this wonderful earth! God You made me the way I am. You know the strengths You have blessed me with. You know the weaknesses which have saddened You. My weaknesses, dwarfing my strengths Reducing me to nothing to the eyes of this world. The world laughs. Where do I turn? Surely You, who made me for much better things, would mock alongside it, But I turn to You, all else has abandoned me. Are you laughing? No. Do you mock me? Never. You are smiling. You are encouraging me to stand once more. You lift me up and walk with me Oh Lord, You have done this so many times. You are great, and I praise You. O God you are beautiful. You created mountains and seas, great masses of beauty. And You created rivers and wonderful ideas for Your people to enjoy. The flowers the animals all such precious beauty. Even in their beauty we can keep them poorly. We destroy what You have created yet with Your unfailing love You forgive us and help us make it better. And You created me. I may think I’m ugly in comparison to the birds and the flowers, trees, seas, rivers, mountains, moon, sun and stars but Lord You see me as the most beautiful thing You made and care and love so much. You made things beautiful but you gave us food and clothes you provide everything we ever need and the beauty of You is revealed in the things You made and even then the reflection doesn’t match even half your beauty oh Lord. O God you made us for your glory. You gave us air to breathe, so that we could live in this wonderful creation. Creator God, thank You for your unceasing love, which spills out from creation. For the wonderful colours with which You have blessed us. For the eyes we have to see, and witness Your wonderful creation. Lord, You are far above our understanding, but we cry out to You knowing that only You can fill us with the heavenly love and joy with which we were created to experience and live out in life. O God You made us unique for Your perfect purpose, help us father to treat Your creation with the respect it is due, plant, animal and man. Creator God, thank You that You created us with this desire to love. Help us to understand. Help us to live it out. Creator God thank You that all creation sings to You, even when we are too busy. Help us to learn from the flowers and mountains that sing of Your greatness even when we are silent. Lord You are patient. You are our Creator, You are Love. Oh Lord, I am surrounded by your wonder. I am awed by the simple beauty of a falling leaf, by the smallest movement of the rippling grass in a breeze. You world, beautiful and grand, is too good for my foolish feet to stand in. Yet everything You have made, you give charge to us. Not fit to speak Your heavenly name, I am a steward of Your earth. God, You command the movements of angels. Of mountains and seas, and You still take care in making a plan for me. Lord, thank you. Let me never end my thanks for Your care, Your love, Your guidance, Your world. All the poets in all the world can capture not a fraction of Your beauty. The written word and the spoken tongue are not enough. Only the love You put in our hearts can come close to expressing your glory – and even then we fall short. Lord You are unfailing in love, in strength and in self. We are always failing, falling short, getting lost along our way. Thank You for forgiving, for pushing us forward and for lighting our path and bringing us home. O great King of Creation You reign mighty over the seas and sky A mere word from Your mouth brings surpassing glory and beauty. Yet I am only a small petal in Your creation, I cry to You my God a confused soul searching for Your Truth. Surrounded by such amazing wonders which my eye can see Why yet do I struggle to see Ye so clearly? I am a blind fool for You are so perfectly true, a call away though I continually live with my own focus. Your creation is so amazing, so overwhelming it’s beauty can pierce into anyone’s very soul. | Hi guys, As if you need any reminder, Glenshee 2009 is little over a month away! Yep, on the 20th-22nd of February, we'll be grabbing a bus, and taking over the Compass Christian Centre. The leaders have all been slaving night and day, preparing to make this the best one yet! What can you expect? More of the same, and then more! There'll be some brilliant activities, including a certain new installation which is bound to get you excited (I won't spoil the surprise, though)! We'll have our yearly talent show, this year titled "Welcome To The Jungle", which is always hilarious, and great fun to take part in. And of course, as always, there will be some great worship/chat sessions, where you'll get the chance to connect with God - maybe we'll challenge you a bit too! It all looks to be a great weekend, so get excited! Unfortunately it's too late to sign up, but there's always Glenshee 2010! 2010... that makes me feel old. God bless, and see you there! | Hello... just a wee reminder that full balance of the money for our youth weekend away is now due - at the very latest by next Friday (19th Dec) - the closer we get to that date, the more likely you shall be getting a personal phone call from yours-truly to remind you - LOL....
